Maybe your desperation shows?
Did you get my link I posted yesterday?
If it makes you feel any better (probably not), it took me 19 months to get my current job. I literally held my breath for this one.

yeah Dave i did.. but most of those jobs you have to be able to get a security clearance.. and they're high security clearances... or you have to have four year degrees... shame on me for that one lol

its not you..its your approach.
if you want to move fast, get a recruiter man. yeah they take a few K from your annual salary but at least you get the job. My last 4 gigs have been through TEK Systems. They are IT for the most part but they do health care and many others...
look them up and look up other recruiters..they have relationships with the companies so as long as your recruiter likes you, the company will like you.
good luck. I have a few friends in va beach also.
look up CityMonkey and see if he has some connections for you, he lives down there and so does Halfass... PM them guys and tell them I told you that maybe they can help because they live in VA BEACH.

ty very much.. it's in Norfolk.. i'm sure it's not going to be what i'm looking for but it will get me down here. But then again, ya never know.. i may totally love the job and stick with it. I've been filling out applications for every possible place I can think of and this was the only one who bit. It's a supervisor security position at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). My g/f (she works at EVMS) just called me saying that it sounds like I have a really good shot at landing the job. Only downfall to the job is it would be a thursday - monday position and my g/f is off on the weekends. At this point I really don't care though, just wanna get down here and be with her and enjoy some semi nice weather rather than the snow Central Ohio will be getting soon. Plus this would get me away from Ohio State Buckeye fans and that stupid college lol.

That's normal with most companies unless they're looking for an immediate position that is absolutely necessary to fill. In most cases, an in-person interview is the best ticket to landing the job. Why hire a guy a 1000 miles away when you can have someone right here walk through your door. You just have to put yourself in the position of your employer.
