If I am not mistaken most CF hoods are pretty close to OEM weight or in some cases even heavier

 

Maybe it depends on the make/model. On my accord i got an oem style CF hood and it was much lighter. Not sure about the G/Z.

 

Sorry to see what happened Mike, some people in this world just suck.

On the upside it makes your car look meaner, just tell the guys at the drags it happened when you rammed into someone going too slow in front of you on the highway.

That sucks Mike. An anbulance back into my Z a few weeks ago. It bent my liscence plate and gave me a nice little scratch next to it FTL.

 

That sucks. New hood time.

 

I agree with the CF look itself, but if it's painted to match the rest of the car, I think they are still worth it. Especially for the FI folks who could use the extra airflow of a vented hood.
