Default Foundation Repair

Has anyone ever dealt with cracks in your wall? It seems like this house is settling and is getting cracks around the doorway and where the walls meet. I know this could be a serious problem that seemed to be covered up for our original home inspection.

I've been looking for a professional to come out and look at it in Woodbridge. I was wondering if you have a personal recommendation for me too use?

Please help. I love my house.

Dom

Does your leak? Mines leak whenever it rains. They probably did a really crappy job when they first built the house. how old is it?

Im down for bondo lol . Its was built in 1990. I think... its settling too much in the front. I have no leaks but it does appear to buckle in the middle leaning forward

buckle and leaning does not sound good. eff it bondo it and paint it. You would think that since the house was built in 1990 it would be better built. houses they build now are made of wood chips compressed together.

Do you have slab or crawl space?

Do a search on HGTV, they have some good info. Fixing the foundation is expensive but it will save your house in the long run.

My siblings and I had our parent's house repaired to ready it for sale. The place we used put metal plates in the basement (cement block walls) and anchors in the yard with long "bolts". The nuts in the basement had to be turned every few weeks to pull the walls back in.
We paid almost 9K to have it installed. We had other estimates done with a variety of repair styles (piers-18K or poured basement-36K).
I'd definitely get something done because if your house is that new and settling that much, it will only get worse. Probably much worse.
