Default First time at Mason Dixion

Yesterday I went to Mason Dixion for the first time. I had been to drag races before but had never ran a car. My Z is a 2007 Enthusiast with Nismo exhaust, dual pop chargers and i was on the stock Potenzas that need replaced pretty soon. My first run i ran a 14.50 @99.69mph with a 2.723 60' which i know is bad. My best run of the day was 13.92 @101.65 with a 2.14 60'.

Give us a heads up next time.....more people will come. Mason is a moderately fast track. On par with Capital. Cecil and MIR are both quicker. I think my PB at mason is like a 13.2x in 2000' DA's. Keep at it......you'll get faster. I'd look into a tune for your car though. Those traps are low for an HR w/ intake & exhaust.

Thanks for the input! Everyone I talked to there said the track was terrible and couldn't get traction. Every time I hit 2nd my rear end was sliding out and i had to peddle it to straighten back up. I was having a terrible time launching too.

You did good. Sometimes 2.0 seconds is possible. Sometimes not. Depends on how well the staging pad is prepared.

Nice man that's about what I did for my first time at the track. I plan on going out to Mason Dixon here in the next few weeks to give it another try. I would love a 13.4 out of it eventually.

Let me know which weekend you plan on going and I will try to make it. It would also be nice to meet some other guys on the forum that go to Mason Dixion.
