The National Sport Compact Racing Association "SUMMER POWER TOUR" Starts June 13th at Maryland International Raceway 27861 Budds Creek Road Mechanicsville, MD 20659-2961. Northeast Regional Points Championship Round #1
(Lake Worth, Fla.) May,22, 2010 - The NSCRA "The Home of the World's Fastest Sport Compact Drag Cars". Come see what all the excitement is about as new records are set at Maryland International Raceway! 2010 Championship season. Payouts have been increased to over $100,000!
Check out the NSCRA Car Show as the hottest Import and Domestic show cars and bikes compete in 39 Trophy Classes. Cash Prizes will be paid to Best Engine, Best Club Participation, Best Club Presentation, Best of Show Custom, and Best of Show Performance.

You couldn't pay me to go back to MIR. I use to go to that track all the time because I use to live in waldorf but not anymore. Too much drama with the side betting that goes no there. Between the racist Red necks and the getto trash it's not worth it.
Last time I was there some a$$holes got into a fight over race betting and me and my wife almost got caught in the cross fire of a shooting. No Thanks.

My friends and I, we race bet ALLLL the time, but we usually keep it among us. We only bet dollars though. Every once in a while, a few ppl around us try to get in. I more than tripled my earnings last time...lol

Never heard of a shooting there and I've never had any problems there. It depends what event it is. Each one attracts different people from all over the region. Police and event security are always visible.

It didn't take me that long to find that either and you can't say MIR is exactly the more secure place in the world. Some people are fine living in DC too but you couldn't pay me to live there.
