Well today guys and girls I was invited to take a road trip with some very nice cars. I meet up with about 25 other cars in Winshester VA and we made took a trip on RT50 all the way threw Romney then to Deep Creek Lake. RT 50 is a two lane road that is very curvy in the mountains. I had the privilage of being harrassed by a Lotus on 50. After we ate lunch we stopped on a Mountain ridge near Oakland for pics. Then the real fun. We drove home on 68-70. This is were it was fun for me. Being able to open up those turbos!!! There were several different types of cars. From a new C6 to a BMW that was on Bull Run. Here are some pics I took:

Daaaaaamn, Z looks amazing man! You have definitely more than changed my mind on that hood. I'm diggin it and ur Z. The cruise looks like it was a ball too. Looks like u had a load of fun

^ Thanks Cruzie
It was a lot of fun. There was another group of 4 cars that was on the way to meet us in Winchester. Among them was a Lambo, 2 vettes, and a brand new Nismo 370 with a Stillen supercharger on it. On 81 the Nismo hit something in the road and ripped his front bumper completely off. The other 3 cars wouldnt leave him on the highway so they never arrived in time to come. I was really hoping to see the supercharged 370. Its so new I havent seen one in person. As for the trip, I came to the conclusion that my car wasnt going to handle as well as the Lotus that was behind me. No matter how hard I drove it. So I eventually waved him by. He is the sales manager at Tri State Nissan in Winchester. He called me a little old lady
. But I think everyone had the most fun on 68
There were several cars that had 500whp or more. I wish someone like Alberto could have been there. The power he makes would have been awesome to see on the roads we were on. And it would have made some of the older guys think different about Z's. I tried my best to talk with everyone. The owner of the GTR was real cool. He is in his late 20's. He owns several pizza shops in Winchester. Anyways, it was a lot of fun. If they do it again next year I will try and post it on here to see if any of you city boys would make a trip West
. I dont think you guys like leaving the city

^ if I weren't leaving for 3yrs, I would definitely be down! I love winding mountain roads. That's the kind of roads I learned to drive on (the road to my parents house back home is roughly 5miles uphill/downhill with over 100 turns... I got bored one night last time I was on leave and counted them lol)

^Cody you would have had a unfair advantage. You have probably been on the roads we were on several times.
This was a lot of fun. The real fun for me was 68
. The best part of all not one piggy was seen.

Awesome pics, makes me miss my car so much. Your car looks flawless paint wise!
While the Lotus would have the advantage in handling, that doesnt mean the driover could beat you!
Id be down to go cruise some nice roads when I get my car back...I need to make up for lost time.

Yep, I've been all over 50 from Mt. Storm to Winchester. Were the streets in Romney still tore up? I'm surprised you didn't see any State Police on Rt. 68. Usually on a Saturday they are all over that road. They really don't bother sports cars much if you're sensible.

^ Thank you for the compliment Alberto. Its a very tough decision. Drive it a lot and get chipped up or keep it for special things like this. Your car would have ate up some of the cars that thought they had something special! The baddest ride to me was the completely stock GTR. There was a very nice Saleen and the yellow pony had a built procharged setup that was putting 540 to the ground. It sounded different though. A very loud chime (procharger). But it was very nice as well! The owner of the Lotus Exige was pumping out 260 hp. Sounds weak except it only weighs 2200lbs. He unlike me was not worried about driving it like he stole it
. I will admit the Lotus was awesome in the mountains. But he wasnt playing in 68! I believe he said the top speed was around 150ish. A lot of us were going faster than that

. Don "the guy who put it together" told me they do different trips throughout the year. I believe he said they might do another in Sept up through Skyline. Alberto, you need to do one of these. I would kill to see there faces if you told them you were bone stock and then embarassed there store bought pappy rides
Cody, yes the roads were very bad through Romney. If we passed a cop on 68 im sure we would have had the air national guard called with birds in the air
. We were moving.
