I'm scoring, stripping old wallpaper and painting my kitchen next week. I just know if I had a little more experience I could replace all the cabinets and all I'd need is someone with a tile cutter for the new floor.

Let me know if you need anything. I have a bunch of tools lying around. I have a diamond tile cutting wet blade but its in my circular saw and its only really good if you are doing very few cuts for like a small room (I laid a 4x9 room of ceramic at my buddies house)

Identify where you want your cabinetry ( height wise) pop a line, (use a chalk line or pencil with your level.
Then you can either;
A Screw up a small board to rest the cabinet on in place just under the line to assist with placing board up(check wood once mounted to ensure completely level)
or
B: Use line as a guide, one person holds the cabinets up other levels them then screws into place.
once 2 cabinets are mounted side by side you screw them together through the thick frame board just inside the front edge
Then once your done that add doors

Barn, the cabinet thing sounds doable with another set of "experienced "hands, but the tile part scares me. Well that and doing the plumbing for the sink, faucet and disposal up against the wall.

I will say tiles can be a major headache if you rush or dont get the proper tools but if you take your time they are not difficult in anyway at all just time consuming. The plumbing is one of the easiest parts especially with the kits they have on the market that make it so you dont have to hunt down parts and it all just snaps together

But I agree, a good quality paint is a necessity. Grizz, you taking any pix of your rennovations? Maybe someone should start a Mid-A Home Remodeling thread?

I had to change my walls from bone white to hunter green in the living/dining rooms. There's so many coats you could probably scratch them and never see the white. ![](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/icon17.gif)
