Default Interest in Dyno-Day?

My friend's shop was thinking about doing "Dyno Days" every other week or once a month at his shop (MA Motorsports in Baltimore)... Probably do specific makes per "event" like all BMWs one day and all Nissans (or all 350z's - depending on how specific we get) one day and so on.. Figure if we keep the cars specific, all 350z dudes could come, check out each others cars and talk shop..

Have people sign up for $75 for 3 pulls on the dyno.. I'm guessing we could only run about 10 or so cars a day.. So it'd be a first come - first serve sorta deal but it'd start around 10am and run through the day and people could come hang out, eat/drink, talk shop, run their cars/bring their friends, etc...

Let me know what you guys think.. Could be a good time + be a good reason for us Z dudes to hang out and see what our cars can do.

I'd be down for the hang out part since I've nothing to dyno just yet nor are my future upgrades gonna revolve around power.

just FYI during the warmer weather Hills garage does a dyno day once a month while they are tuning customers cars and its only 65 for 3 pulls.

I would still come out though if this happens just to chill. But I dont need any dyno time.

They didn't. I'm friends with Ben and Brian and do design for them both (just launched freedengineering.com). They're both good dudes and figured I'd plug them both since they both work on my car.

sounds good.

odd ive never met you, i frequent both those shops

i was actually looking at Fe.com today and wondering when he updated the site for that black background and big white block letters

MA needs a HUGE overhaul on their site. Surprised Brian isnt on top of that already. I know they are slammed with business right now so maybe the site isnt a priority

**ninja edit** did Ben do the custom exhaust on your Z33? Intake also? very interested to see a pic of those two items if they are indeed Z33

Yeah - he actually just finished both those.. I did his site in trade for the exhaust and intake piping and we JUST launched the new site (hence no news or anything yet hahaha).. Ben also did a bunch of work on my old s13 while he was at MA... I had brian do all the other work (new motor, put in cd009 trans with clutch/flywheel, and put in new suspension/components and wired up TEAS system)..

I'm working on a new site for brian now.. There will be a shop side to the site (like ben's) and then the store area (which i hope brian will let me redesign - looks so terrible)..

I have some photos of the intake and a rear shot of the car to see the exhaust, but ben has better photos of the car on the lift so see the piping and fitment... he did an awesome job.. car originally had a dual greddy exhaust and there's soooooo much more clearance with ben's exhaust now..

ended up doing a single exhaust with 3.5inch piping and a burns muffler (this guy)

Here're some photos I have of the car:
(need to fix those nasty dents in the rear quarter panels on the Z - bummer - last owner was also responsible for decals all over the freaken car)

and here's my old s13 that you might have seen down at MA.. I traded this car for the z33... my buddy, Jay, gave me his z33 and $4,000 for my s13

(my name's patrick, by the way hahaha)

Nice job on the rollcage in the civic hatch. You tubing fitment is very tight and super clean welds. I may be in contact about a cage for my S13.

Not sure man.. You'd have to contact Ben at Freed Engineering. He did mine + some other work in trade..

this is the muffler i used though: http://www.burnsstainless.com/sm-250-350-12.aspx

Call Ben at 410-697-3051 and tell him you talked to me (Patrick) and I'm sure he'll hook you up..

your exhaust looks very nice! do you think you could post sound clips? im very curious how the burns mufflers sound on our car. i was thinking about getting sm-350-625-17 but now im not sure if it will fit since you got the 12" long, 4.5" around one and it looks like it is in there pretty good.

thanks man! i actually just got some more photos from Ben today (from Freed Engineering) that show the belly of the car + some "in progress" shots.. I'll post those in a sec and i MIGHT have a sound clip somewhere on here - let me check..

EDIT: I'm just going to make some kind of build thread and have photos/video in there.. I'll get a good sound clip tonight on my way down to the shop and post it tonight/tomorrow... I'll post a link once the thread is up...
