Before you know it, though, Clay will be faster than me on those axis shines.

The first couple times you run....you will think to yourself "how can it get faster...I am pushing so hard", but you really aren't lol.

LOL, you are right. You think you are pushing it until somebody hops in and shows you how its done :P

BTW, what I had really time to notice is the shortcomings of the Z. I am not saying that I have outgrown the car, not even close. But there are a couple of areas where the car lacks a lot.

Specially the throttle response, its HORRIBLE! I do not know if it is due to the heavy stock flywheel, the drive-by-wire being played wrong by the ECU to protect the engine, or the throttle plate itself being too slow...

Whatever the case, figuring that out should be my first mod.

Uprev has ability to tune the throttle response... it does help out a bit. Although I wonder if your ECU is going into the hi-det map... some datalogging might be in order.

LOL I got a good deal on mine too....they grew on me as well. I'd probably swap out with the OEM 19's or 18's if I did auto-x....20" boat anchors probably aren't a good idea.

Throttle response in my car is scary. It is instant. I think Clay will attest. I do only have a 7lb flywheel in my car though. I was hoping to have some in car from my runs, but I forgot to turn it on the only pass I got. Probably would have just shown me flailing about with a seat sliding around.

AJ Aviles (sp?) put up a vid from his SCCA regional winning ST civic of the various drills. You can actually hear the pure noise of my car in the last 10 seconds....even though I am on the other side of the course lol.

They aren't my pics actually. As luck would have it....the seat actually did come out again on that very run (about 2 turns prior to the picture). My makeshift coder pin was on borrowed time anyway. I am going to weld the piece this time.

Agreed...You're probably running the uprev tuned throttle map (full open at WOT, ect) which definitely helps. I've actually found it a little too sensitive for F/I and switched back to stock.

I'm not sure who took the pics.....I just copied them to here. I am having some second thoughts, and may just run the CDC Frederick event, but I don't know. The rear diff is making some noises I am not entirely comfortable with. I am apprehensive to go almost 100 miles in each direction and have something break. We'll see.
