I will $hit on your transgo or whatever brand VB you have. Listening to even a "fast" TQ converter auto shift fast sounds like a slow retarded powershift from outside the car.

Not happening without DSG/DCT. as long as a torque converter is present....even with your vb upgrade it's not going to cut it when referring to shift times.

Keith of course I remember the pep Boys meet and I know your car well and recall how it shifts, BUT it pales in comparison to a clean 6MT shift. Put me in 6MT G35 with the same power or slightly less than you and watch me run away...

I once looked at dog gears for the Z, so I could legit no clutch shift it. The price was absurd. In the future, I may retire the car for street use and make it a dedicated drag car. The tranny wont last long in that environment lol

 

Funny I was looking at a vid of a guy with dog gears in a vette, looks almost too easy. I guess it's like 20k for the gearbox? Add another 5k just because it's a Z??? LOL
