kinda like:
http://www.zcarclubnova.org/ ?

"Our meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at Kilroy's, 5250 Port Royal Rd., Springfield, VA, phone (703) 321-7733. The best parking will probably be in back of the restaurant (around to the left of the building). "

Well as most people have been saying, I'm down for meets, whenever they are. We need someone to just start throwing out dates/times/places specifically to get something started. Otherwise it's going to end up with lots of enthusiastic owners starting threads about wanting to have meets, but nothing ever getting done!

Yes I do understand the possible sounds of being hypocritical by saying someone should just start it, but not doing it myself...but ah well what are ya gonna do, I'm not a leader. Besides Z meets are always good and all...but the Z herself is all that matters

Hello DC Metro people! I'm new to this site and I've been lurking for a while. I come over from www.newcelica.org, I am currently a Moderator over there for the DC Metro forum, and my screen name is the same over there, and I'm also a founding member of DCM7thGEN, our Celica club. I am going to purchase a G35c in March when my Celica's lease runs out and since I see that you guys are talking about meets I decided to drop in and give an opinion, if you don't mind.

We have Celica meets on a monthly basis and we alternate between MD and VA (DC roads are too bad to meet there) and usually we post well in advance so people can clear time in their schedule to attend the meets. In average we get 16-25 attendees (most of them are celicas), our largest ever meet (all cars included) was over 400+ cars over at Lake Fairfax in April '03 and our largest (95% celicas) was 31 over in Springfield.

If you guys want to meet, I would recommend monthly meets, as some have said, weekly meets might be a problem for those who work on the weekends, but by making it a monthly meet and giving a heads up of 3 weeks, those people could make time to attend. Also you might want to check out our site and see how it's broken up in forums, we convinced our Admin that DC/MD/VA needed to be it's own forum, separate from the usual "North East" designation. Trust me, it makes for a more personal feeling and easier to manage meets/events/outings, etc....

Well, that's been the longest thread I've ever written and I'm not even an owner yet..., hope to see you guys around if a meet happens soon.

Later,
Eric

We're having a meet at Reston Town Center on Jan. 24th if any of you guys are interested in attending. We don't care who shows up to our meets as long as they don't bring trouble and just bring their love for cars. Here's the link to our "sign-up" for the meet:
http://www.newcelica.org/forums/show...hreadid=114333

Also, in April we'll be doing a joint meet with the DC/MD/VA Supras, we will no longer host our yearly Lake Fairfax BBQ but we'll do something that will hopefully become a bigger get together and for a good cause, we're still ironing out the details though.

Wuz up man? what's your SN over at nc.org? yeah, the more the merrier for the 24th, like I said, as long as everyone is cool and don't cause trouble, i.e. pick a fight, burnout (I know is hard for you guys...lol...but shopping centers dont like this), etc....

and honestly i think its retarded when people do those things at meets because it ruins it for the rest of us when people tell us to leave:-/ grow up!

anyhow, im excited bout the meet
