Doesn't count if you post the video up on forums. When I do new stuff and post the videos up I get an instant 300-400-500+ views. The kicker is how many views a day will it get in a week once those threads die off.

Same thing goes for my food website, it ranges between 10-20 people viewing at all times, if I post the links up on forums I'll get a nonstop 80-100 people viewing for a day or so.

Once you break the 50k view mark, let us know. As with the 1 million view mark for your channel.

 

I just started the channel, I don't think 300 views is terrible considering I only posted it here and to a few people on Facebook.

Doesnt matter how many views it has when you directly linked people to it, your thread for that video has 1200 views, that means 300 of those 1200 views clicked the video and let it play long enough to count.

What matters is when you don't link the videos and people you have zero connection to find it on youtube and view it.

Again, in a few days it will go back to crickets, unless you keep posting it over and over and over again.

I remember that when I used to do websites in 2000-2003, less than 10k views a day was rather dead.
Specially if you wanted to make money out of them.

Its not difficult to go above that number if you try a little. But you have to have something special if you want to stand out.

After that, is all about updating frecuently. It was fun for a while, and with the money I got from my websites is how I came to this country

I find that when something is bad to the point where I don't care, I don't even give it enough time to hit dislike, I just hit back or click on another video as soon as I can.

Dislikes mean people stopped long enough to put some thought into it.

But really, how much did it cost you? I've thought about doing it but can't get past the paying idea. Clearly it does bring in a good bit of views.
