It's not about riding, it's about showing others.

I was out for about 2.5 hours, took its easy and got off at most big hills to check them out and think about how I'd hit them and or if I would go down them. Also did a lot of sight seeing. This is pretty much my back yard and I never knew it was there.

Some of the rocky hills that dropped 15-20 feet.... No idea how someone would make it down with a bike outside of just going fast and hoping for the best, once you start there's no stopping, it was a pain walking up them let alone trying to ride down them.

I happened to notice they sell bikes at REI while I was there this weekend. Can I buy a decent starter bike there or would it be best to hit up the actual bike place in Columbia across from Wally World and Haverty's?

Best starter MTB no BS is at Costco. $480 for a bike with components that come on $700 Big name bike shop brands.

Sadly most of the legit bikes are local pickup only.

Diamond back and rocky mountian are two legit companies that sell online.

Bikes direct have a ton of legit bikes. Problem is for new people they won't feel comfortable not test riding and paying or putting their own bikes together.

If you know what components to look for there are sweet deals.

Hoping this storm subsides soon, I can do without power for 3-4 days no biggie. I feel bad for the people who loose thier homes and everything they worked hard for to achieve.
