Was heading down a very steep/fast downhill that has a series of jumps/roll offs, I came in too hot on the second or third one and tried to correct with my brakes, ended up going over the bars ( I can't really recall it all happened sob fast )
Alberto may have a better idea of what actually went down

I guess MTB'ing is like Russian Roulette, everything is good, until its not
It was our usual ride with our usual suspects. This particular part of the park is tough. Very rocky, loose, roots, and FAST on the way down. We have hit 34.xmph down it, and I wont be doing that again, would rather do 160mph on a motorcycle in no gear lol.
Myself or Dan usually lead but I stay behind to help my fiancee with her technique sometimes. I told Zain to go ahead, then my woman told me to just go she didnt want me behind her
Zain was having an off day, started off with a bad line on this decent. By the time he gets back into somewhat the right line, there are 3 consecutive jumps. Zain, dont know if you recall or heard, but right before the 1st one, I yelled "lean back!"
Off the first one he gets unsettled, goes off the second one not looking great for the third, and its at this moment he reacted by hitting both brakes. He basically endos off the third jump, I see his body too far forward, his back tire start flipping over the front locked up as it goes skyward, and he basically supermans into a rock bed, lands on the wrist, bounces then lands on his opposite shoulder
Camelback saved your spine!!!!
Come to a FAST stop trying not to hit him, he knew it was bad right away. I could see his wrist was trashed thru his jacket, then he tells me his opposite shoulder is jacked.
Shawna went to the bottom to tell Dan to haul a$$ to the car (our ride out-about 5 miles from the car, all uphill to get there), she continues to look for a Ranger (it was approx 5pm, no one left), and I stay with Zain.
Just a BRUTAL fall man. A few things stick out in my mind that day. He had admitted he was feeling off earlier in the day, and on the car ride there I fawking jinxed it by saying "so who is going to crash today? not me!"
Glad he had no head or spinal injuries, cant get the image of Zain bouncing off the fawking rocks out of my head...

Was it the braking that got him to flip over? Hard to believe he had enough traction at those speeds. I figured he caught his rear tire on the edge of a jump or rock causing it to buck.
Was he standing the whole time?

Standing. His fork went full compressed right before the last drop as he was on the brakes. Plus body forward = he got pogo'd and flipped off as his front tire went off the last drop off. That's when I quickly caught a glimpse of the bottom of his bike, and his rear tire traded places with his front end over end.
While this was no slow run, it wasnt near a banzai run either, plenty of traction.
