Doooooo ittttttt.

Maybe get with Dave and get both cars done at the same time. Ask for Asian price.

Speaking of IAG a friend of mine has a 2010 that is currently there getting his engine rebuilt. Head gasket went and when they pulled it apart to do the head gaskets they looked at the bearings and noticed weird wear so.... Full rebuild. He has a stock turbo with basic bolt ons.

Ask Anh about head gaskets on subarus.

Flash it back to stock. Worst case, they decline the warranty work.

Welcome to being a Subaru owner.

Lol you are doing it wrong. Tell him he needs to mod it so he doesn't listen, by not doing what we say, his car stays stock.

Dave leave your car stock.

Kyle mod your car.

Zain. Any progress on the vette? We need to make something happen.
Company has agreed to send me new coils, but I need to send the old ones back first, so waiting to gtr the car towed to the shop, should hopefully be taken care of in the next week.

But im just going to keep it stock. When it happens the warranty will take care of it. In the mean time I will keep saving money for those rainy days.

Problem is the stock tune has been found to be lean, some people feel that retuning it can help reduce the risk of ring failure. On the flip side, getting a tune can cause issues if you have warranty work, however Cobb says that their tunes when removed do not show up on the ecu unlike most all other ways of tuning.

If you talked it anyone about advice on buying the car you would have been told to not buy it from Annapolis. They are a good dealer that is mod friendly.

Did you read my link? Don't start on page one if you want to learn stuff.

the stock tuned graph looks like someone had a heart attack. It'd suck if the car made it past the warranty period with all the dmg done and not be able to get it replaced under warranty. Good thing Cobb's tune is undetectable and completely reversible. The guy who writes the tuning software for Cobb afterall is a mega-nerdy Asian guy. Can't go wrong there.

Thats my fear^^ my luck it will happen with 36,001. How many people got the tune and not the issue vs those that did and still got the issue.

I haven't researched the statistics on that issue. But from what's being said, here's the way I see it:

1. your ringlands are 100% guaranteed to blow up eventually. FACT.
2. you're a ricer and you'll get Cobb stg 2 eventually

If #2 can prevent #1, great! Get tuned. You're going to do #2 anyway whether or not the ringlands blow, so you might as well get it over with.

If ringlands blow while you're tuned, it's completely reversible so you can still get your warranty. Win-Win situation. Plus, who rolls stock these days? Esp if you can get 300+whp for under 1k!

It's pretty pathetic that Subaru's flagship performance vehicle is tuned like crap from the factory... leading to failures (for years now) and they know it.

I wouldn't mod that car at all... it's time bomb either way, and if Subaru catches wind you used Cobb you are hosed..... it's a dammed if you do, dammed if you don't situation

Then again I would never buy a car that came from the factory with a garbage tune...

I like that in almost any scenario there is a chance of failure.... f-that... Subaru fail.

And even if someone does get a Cobb stage 2 the car is still dog slow.... literally no incentive to purchase or mod this vehicle..meh..
