[NSFW] Mid-A Epic Random-ness: Third Encounter
Unless you are talking about breaking in the suspensions, brakes, and tires?
When driving my sti I hardly see positive boost. Takes very little power to haul *** down backroads.
Meant haven't driven it hard in the twisties yet, waiting till 1k to open her up a bit then after the first oil change I will test how far the car can go. In a safe closed road course...of course
I give it 14k miles lol
I just can't get into the new subarus, meh
At one point the sti was a track car with tags, now it's a smooth line car that is aimed at as many people as they can reach, that's smart for Subaru because of dollhairs, but the car is just no longer what it once was.
Kyle you must be loving the weather now, nice enough during the day to use the sun roof and chilly enough at night to use the heated seats.
Anyone else remember back when Subaru had hood scoops? Now it's just a vagina slit.

I defiantly agree with you Jeff, the sti's use to be just a rally car with nothing else to offer, now its still a rally car with better options.
nice job on the upgrade. Now who's next in line for an STi?
P.S. proper way to break in your car is to FLOOR IT!
here's some break-in info: http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm
Most dealerships say "take it easy" for "X" amount of miles - this is strictly for their own protection and not the optimal way to break in your car.

said to run it hard within the first 20 miles, I bought it with 27 miles. I assume there "test run" of the car they ran it hard. But today I started to open her up a bit into the higher RPM range. It's really hard to take it easy.
Think I should replace the oil now or wait till the 3k mark, dealer said 7500 mark but Idk

Wingless would do wonders for this car. IMO the back of Dave's WRX looked so much better, it was aggressive, for some reason the new sti wing reminds me of APC, pep boys and 1999.
Wing if you actually drive competitively, otherwise it does look cleaner without one or a very subtle wing.
On the track you can really feel the difference wing vs wingless. The car is less stable in the high speed sections w/o a wing and your lap times suffer by a large margin.

Lol , give it a month or so... good thing Kyle and Dave have a warranty.
Man pretty much no one in the Mid-A drives competitively, there are a few exceptions, but overall it's a bunch of highway warriors... can't even get guys to head out to a drag strip, let alone a road course or auto-x... so discussing the merits of a wing is a useless discussion. It's really just a style preference at this point.

I'd love to see Dave and Kyles car keep up with my wingless car on the back roads.
Zain. Any progress on the vette? We need to make something happen.

For ringland issues I have read to get a tune but it would obviously void the warranty and still have a chance of it happening. Figured I will take the chance and stay within the warranty boundaries in case it does occur.
