Scott get the damn radiator fixed and we can head to the track, you just need to practice and get used to the car. Can't do that with is sitting in the garage
No one can suggest a good shop around here for rad work, I have posted before asking and no suggestions. If someone can suggest a legitimate rad guy, I would be more then happy to take it to them. I asked Moore and they said they use 1800radiator or some BS. If no one has a good reference, I would rather wait till winter and have it done then since I don't go home that often and wont be driving the car in the winter.
http://www.looperrockvilleautomotiverepair.com/ going to see what they say about the rad, if the price isn't crazy I might get it done there.
Scott why don't you remove the rad and send it to your dad and have him send it back? Or just buy a new one. How much does an oem one run? Is yours upgraded? Even so, my car on a 100o day in traffic never ran hot with the oem one.

Its the ARC rad, so I am not able to replace it with the same one. Shipping is expensive when I could just pull it then drive it home one weekend and pick it up the next month when I stop at home next. So no need to pay shipping, when I make the trip maybe once a month.
I don't see the fix being more expensive than 150 doll hairs, you could buy a mishimoto radiator for less than 300 or a koyo for less than 450...
120 radiator fix>2 months of full coverage insurance...
Not trying to beat the dead horse, but it would be nice for all of us to cruise somewhere before it starts getting too cold...
E10, next time I come up with vip tickets I'll invite you again lol

Nothing is keeping me from cruzeing, just beating the **** out of it at the track. And money is not the issue, most places close by the time I get home on weekdays, and weekends who knows what I am doing. Its just not a super high priority for me, like I will definitely go to the track once in it, but I mean I am in no rush to do that either.
With the track, your car sits there for 10-15-20-25 minutes, you get to inspect everything and once your up you run once down the strip for all of 11-12-13 seconds, and its done. You get back into line, inspect everything and do it again.
How did it get a leak in the first place? Something rubbing? Did the tuner put a screwdriver through it? Did it have a factory *man that can't be named*?
Rip it out this weekend so the next time you head to PA you can take it with you.
Very easy to do, even on a boosted Z.
We should all chip in and buy a beater civic with a 5 speed. Take it to the track and we all take turns running it. See who does the best. Reaction time, 60 ft and 1/4 mile.
I'd love to see back to back runs from Scott, Dave, and the man that can't be named.
I'd predict Scott 17.9 Dave 18.2 and man that can't be named DNF (due to manual transmission)

That did cross my mind. Lol.
I'd rather use something we can Alberto shift on. Linh drives 100+ miles a day. I'd feel kinda bad if Dave dropped 3rd gear or if man that can't be named blew out the clutch before crossing the starting trigger.

Scott we'll take care of your RAD at home this weekend. Just heat up a nickle and drop it on where it's leaking. Apparently that's the proper thing to do. Oh not to mention we got to be drunk while doing that.
