In case anyone is interested (Subaru BRZ)
Saw one at a dealership this past weekend, forgot to put it up earlier. It's a dark grey one at the dealership on 355 near Lakeforest Mall. It's a Subaru/Hyundai dealership with a Toyata dealership in front. I can't remember the name.
Only reason I was in there was because my wife wanted to test drive a Tuscon. They have it opened up so you can sit in it and everything, I even popped the trunk. lol It actually looks pretty good in person.
Sorry, didn't have a camera so I couldn't get any pics. The guy said they're only getting 13 in for the year...

Actually they're not being sold as of yet Jeff. Any FRS/BRZ you see is for advertising purposes at this point. They just started full scale production...so they don't have them all built yet to sell. But they're bringing aprox. 12000 to the US for the first year... I'm assuming to see how they do sell.
Performance per dollar. this car is going to be fantastic. It goes back to the roots of a simple, RWD sport coupe, like that AE86 corolla, S13/S14/S15. No frills, no traction control or other electronic bullsh!t, just a great handling fun car. With aftermarket in mind.
The ones sitting on show room floors right now are not for sale, they are "press cars" only. the dealers are not allowed to sell them.
These things will sell like crazy I bet, no doubt. I cant wait to see the aftermarket support for them, its going to be an awesome car! This brings DRIVING enjoyment back to cars. The way the original 350Z Track did, except more than 10k less.

I do know Greddy is in the process of making a turbo kit, and few local shops are just itching to get their hands on this thing to do some testing of their own. I'm interested to see what it can handle too, We shall see soon I'm sure

Yea this is a big question on a number of people's minds, I am actually more curious to see what kind of n/a options become available , and how the car responds to bolt ons.... N/A power + light weight = good times
forced induction + N/A boxer engine = Hella Fail
Subaru's popular EJ N/A series motors have been out for decades and no turbo kit ever worked right... ever. The closest kit available was the AVO turbo kit. Even with a proper build & tune, the engines never held up. The only thing that comes remotely close to increasing the HP on the N/A 4 banger platform was a supercharger kit, which was slower than a stock COBB stg 2 EJ20 (wrx motor.) Therefore, the community soon realized, "there's no point in FI'ing this thing, just swap it with a factory turbo'd motor."
With that being said, if someone can find a way to fab up the WRX/STi motor in this car, that would be flippin' awesome.
In terms of the car overall, it's inferior to the S2000 which dominates it in nearly every single way. The BRZ has an FR layout, but the engine protrudes beyond the front axles thus not giving it a true 50/50 weight distribution, nor a front mid-engine layout like the S2000 (one of the key elements in its awesome handling potential) In terms of weight, they weigh roughly the same. In terms of power, the S2000 packs more of a punch.

They just released the pricing for the FR -S anyway as being discussed in another thread, and they really missed the mark imo, 20, 000 would have been perfect (that's what the original ttarget was)however this is what was announced:
Scion FR-S Pricing has been announced
MSRP
6253 6MT FA20 $24,200
6252 6AT FA20 $25,300
That's a bit steeper than expected
