That's the honest truth, you test and tune your car.

I love how people go on about racing their car because they make a few trips down the quarter mile while staged next to a random car.

Friggin Mid A... Makes me want to move.

I've done bracket racing a lot though. When I was N.A. and supercharged. Almost always made it to the money round.

Racing against the clock is still racing, and its still better than modding a car and doing jack chit with it which is what tons of people in the scene do .

Trying to hit a best E.T or bracket racing who cares at least its something , and not couch racing

Those winnings might not get you a drink but would definitely cover tip.

The trick is to have people take you to a place they go to often, when they buy you a drink, offer to leave the tip.

5c drinks ftmfw.

Is your car broken Dave? I heard you say no more racing until spring. By the way I'll get you those videos sometime this week.

Not broken, but I was smelling clutch all day when driving around and then I also have to get an alignment. Figured I'd wait until spring since there were only a few weeks left.

You just need to adjust your launching habits so you don't slip as much -- the smell goes away and doesn't mean you hurt your car. Also make sure you're not slipping on your burnouts -- I noticed you were pumping/feathering the gas during the burnouts (BOV was going crazy) but you need to just mash it and drop the clutch -- don't worry about hitting redline or breaking axles as there's hardly any load. When I lost my first clutch it was during a burnout from not laying into it hard enough. The tires weren't moving fast enough and started to grab...

But yea, I'd definately get an alignment done before the next slicks run. Infiniti of Annapolis has a brand new in-ground million dollar rack you can get it done for $99 same day you call. Ask to have Jim do it. I don't have any sway or kick out since my last alignment.

I wasn't able to hold the gas and brake at the same time so I ended up dumping the clutch and feathering the gas to keep the rpms up. I'm pretty sure the tires were spinning but will have to keep an eye on that in the future.

Hahahah...as if I don't do more than test and tune. I would get into that, but then people would get butthurt.

And outside of that, NIS was a racing competition with prizes that I did participate in.

DOM-Ask any racer, any real racer. It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile; winning's winning

I assumed you had pulled the brake fuse. If not, you definitely need a redo
