Capitol today @4:30PM
Here's a shot of my shifting on a 11.8 run
On a related note (pay attention n00bs) here's an example of what NOT to do on radials / street tires. The title is misleading... driver is fail, not so much the tires.

There are so many things wrong with that video, I don't know where to start.
On a side note, I noticed that Capital says they're open on Wednesday's now. Anyone able to confirm that? I might go tomorrow night to test my new setup.

They should be open according to their website.

Lol what a clown(in the vid)...
So for you guys that have been to Capitol recently has is been crowded? Or if you get there early can you hot lap?
Told myself I would not run at Capitol again, but if the new owners have fixed it up(better prep) I might try it out again

It was sparse at least until 7:30 both times I went....had to take a break to let things cool off. I think not alot of racers are aware they are open and also some of the hard core guys have committed to other tracks this season. And the prep is better... not quite MIR/Cecil but very decent for a friday T&T. My best time last visit was 12.0@116 (street map) which is equal to what I've done on other tracks in much colder weather.

On your 1-2 get off the clutch faster and back WOT quicker. Your 3-4 is your best shift no reason why the 1-2 can't match. It's a mental block.
Imagine the clutch is on fawking fire and you want to minimize the time your foot is on it.
Everyone has fast hand speed shifting, it's the timing and LEG speed that separates the good drivers. You shouldn't "feel" the clutch engage/disengage after the launch you should be stabbing it with your foot quickly.

I think all shifts can be slightly quicker. There is a fine line between fast as hell and destructive though!
My old TN in car run. This was mostly powershifting. Weak launch though lol
Hope this works I'm posting from my phone.

Try holding your hand in the shifter in a diff way. I don't think your hand and the way you extend your arm is optimal for speed. Watch my hand in the vid above.

Final bump. Picking up my car from the shop today just in time for track... new studs/lugs, wheel bearing, poly diff bushings, poly compression rod bushings, tow bolts, and aluminum driveshaft done!
Bad day at the track. Didn't open the lanes until at least 6:00 (prepped from 5:00 to 6:00 wtf) and then car after car broke down. Left at 7:30 with only 3 runs (two botched) with hardly any lines... just not moving at all. Best/only 12.1 @ 115. Just...terrrible lol
Thinking of hitting up Wednesdays instead...
