Been talking to some chick off Twitter who lives there for a couple months, and if I could transfer my DC salary I'd be gone tomorrow.
Anyway, been reading this since I'm bored so maybe it can help that guy out:

Move here but be sure to find a place near a metro station. I've been living here for 21 years. I have NEVER had to drive to work...ever...and I work in downtown DC. This is why my 7 year old 350Z only has 34K miles on it. I fill the tank about every two months (unless I take a trip somewhere far away). If you can't do this then DC metro area is a nightmare for drivers.

Man, I fill up way too much. Commuting from Fairfax up to Bethesda/Rockville every day has me constantly at the pump. I wouldn't have bought the Z if I didn't want to drive it though!
