Todd-Do you have your ASEs? If so in what?

I too went to automotive school and have worked at dealerships, and have been wrenching on cars more than half my life.

I understand shops charge book time and not actual, I also understand the business model shops need to employ to make money, but realistically speaking here, if you disagree with my last post...well you prove why AAM hired you in then first place.

Relax man. Not trying to down you.

Just used to guys that flip burgers all day and then jump on the forums and become mechanics since they watched a how-to video on YouTube.

All I'm saying is I bet if you called a bunch of shops for this job you would get quotes that are for 2-3 hours labor so the guy shouldn't be surprised at that.
For me if I did it and it went smoothly, sure an hour might be it and then I'd charge for that.

I saw AAM rip off everybody, even their own employees and that's why I left. Coincidentally all the 3000gt/stealth business went with me since all the guys knew I was the main tech and now like 8 years later I'm still packed with business from those cars.

Did plenty of Z work while I was there as well and still do.

In any case it seems the original poster vanished.
