Good old saying comes to mind here, why do those with closed minds always open their mouths? wish i cuold remember who said it.
if you aren't going to start making sense then you might as well continue trying to insult me, it seems you've no other route to try and prove your beliefs, I'll stand by whats been proven, anything can happen, and driver is everything, perhaps if you had more track experience you'd realize this.

Read your last post and tell me that IT MAKES SENSE

You never answered any of my quesions......Answer this....Why can I go out in a Z06 and post better times than a Explorer? I know this is a ridiculous example, but I am trying to prove a point. Same driver, same skills, different CARS The best driver in the world will not win races without a proper vehicle.

The driver makes a difference, but you obviously dont realize how much the car plays into the equation. I can see where your 10% car might come into effect. That is PROFESSIONAL MOTORSPORTS, not open tracking.

Good god. Are you for real man. You have no idea what the intelligent guy you're trying to make fun of is talking about.

So that you stop bitching I'll answer your question... If you ran a Z06 at the track and I ran a Camaro, I would still win. Why? Because I am the better driver. You're example was indeed crappy. How many times have you had a road race against yourself buddy. If it is the exact same driver with the same familiarity with both cars then of coarse the faster car will win. You did prove a point. Unfortunately it was like saying, "a yugo will not be as fast as my 350 if I drive both of them equally well."

well look who now thinks he a hardass driver....how the **** do you have any idea how you'd fare against Max2000jp on a road course...you don't even know the guy...let alone have ever seen him drive a car.

I'm going to shut up now though because you can't beat bull-******** at their own game...they have WAY more practice doing it.

It was an example. How about if I was driving my car crappily and he was driving a pinto really well and he beat me. Better? It doesn't change my point. Good lord I've seen less cockiness on honda owner sites. I'm scared that a select few will alienate all non owners from the Z in short order.

well, I could say the point is that an exploder COULD beat a Z06 if one was driven like **** and the other properly, but even i'll admit thats a case where the car pretty much plays all the part, now back to the real world...
ever been to a SCCA autoX event? You say you have track experience so i'll assume so, now ever seen a miata club event? them running course times that porsches and vettes aren't running, thats a BIG difference in both power & handling, if the cars ability played a large part like one guy said this wouldn't be possible.
The same happens at road events but i can't say i've seen a miata do it, i have seen E30 M3's outlap vipers however. A very good friend of mine who happens to have gotten me into roadracing owns it, but by his own admission he couldn't drive a viper to the same laptime as his lightly modded E30, even though its handling ability is quite close and the power difference is huge.

I agree. You're a poopy head.
and you're an old man on geritol, hows that mid-life crisis goin? (sarcasm if we're dealing with touchy people here)

I'm 23. The poopy head "cut" was directed at the guy who thinks the vette stuck in a ditch would still do a lap faster than the well driven explorer.

I would like to take this time to vouch for the road course experience of max2000jp. The man has seat time and knows how to take a proper racing line. Period.

I would also point out, in my defense, that I have seat time at a road course as well. I too can take a proper line.

When YOU can take a proper line (and make a proper argument), I suggest you let us know. But until you've been to a road course AND have taken some crash course in arguments---I would suggest you not make any more lame arguments or talk to guys like max2000jp and I about taking a proper racing line as either of us would surely BLOW YOUR DOORS OFF at the track.

B

I'm sorry...but a professional race car driver would not be caught dead arguing on an internet forums with driving peons such as you and I....

once again some of the ignorant peons have missed the point. Just as I don't know what kind of driver you are, you don't know what kind I am.

Explain my logic? I'd love to!

It's simple: Mario seems like a classy guy that knows what he's doing.

You seem like a guy that: (a) doesn't know how to take a proper line
(b) doesn't know much about racing matchups
(c) doesn't have a lot of class.

Conclusion--- YOU are not Mario Andretti

Further conclusion---- YOU are possibly goldcltype-S from the CL boards

Yes but we are not the ones who claimed that we are better drivers than you are....you did.

Why don't you address my question about the Acura.....

Straight line I'd own you but road race if you were good I'd get worked."

Sounds like you admit to not being a hot road racer. That's cool. But why do you choose to ignore people with experience then?

Yes I also own an acura. Of course. And all I do in my spare time is cruise the net because I recently got it in my igloo up here in canada. No I'm not a guy who goes on and says I have expensive cars. If I were I would not say corvette. I would probably say skyline on a nissan site. Corvette gets too much flack

I'm callin you out.

I propose a full investigation to determine if you are the same guy as "goldcltypes" from the CL boards. It smells like a goldcltype-s to me.
