I too would like to know the answer to this question.
Not interested in what a magazine tells me. I want to know real world testing.

14.853 at Palmdale (elevation 2,800 ft) so realtistically at sea level it would be more or less 14.5

TCS off, didn't adjust tire pressure but will do that nexttime and see what I get. I'll let you know...

I go to Irwindale's Drag strip every Thursday but have yet to see a 350Z run. It's only an 1/8 mile track and a lot of fun. Why don't one of you bring your cars out and see what it will do. I don't think the dealer will let me take a new one off the lot to find out.

I really enjoy the 1/8 mile quite a bit. It's $20.00 to run what ya' got. It starts at 5:00pm and I can get about 8 runs in about 2 hours and spend the rest of the night watching. I currently run a 98 Corvette....... but some day I'll get my Z.

Default 1/4 time w/5AT

I will be running for time only tomorrow (Saturday) so perhaps I can be of some help here. We are approx. 1,100 elev. here in the Phoenix area. Expectations? I dunno.... I am hoping for some mid to lower 14's, but realistically I am expecting (hoping?) for anything in the 14's with the 5AT.
Stay tuned. Jim

Default 1/4 times Saturday w/5AT

Hi, Jeff,
I went out to Speedworld this past Saturday. Here is the thread I started re: my runs. https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=20424
BTW, I was incorrect as to it being 1100' altitude here. I have since found that it is in fact 1800' here. All the more reason to be pleased w/the times! Regards, Jim

I don't mean to sound like a troll Jim, but are you posative you read the correct side of the slip on your last run?

The other side seems to read 14.xx @ 95.xx mph which would *seem* to match up much better to your other times, and dyno.

Did you let it cool down, or do anything special for that last run?
Just wondering what caused the rather large change.

I think we have to give Jim a little more credit than that....jeez. It's not that hard to looks at the number that is painted on your car window with shoe polish and match it up with the right side of the timeslip not to mention knowing what lane you're in.

Why don't you also take a look at the picture of his car at the strip with 118 clearly written on it and then take a look at the car 118's side of the timeslip....

low 13s?? What are you smoking?? Vettes run low 13s and they have 60 more hp and a similiar curb weight. The Z doesn't have abnormal power loss to the wheels...check out some dynos and do some math.

how about looking at some REAL dynos...not some that were done on a brand new car with near 0 miles on it.

Plenty of guys lately have been in the 240 range...do the math and you'll come up with just about 287hp with 15% drivetrain loss.
