there's just a few posted in the last 2 weeks.
No, you do not sound like you are trolling to me. BriGuyMax is correct in matching up the lane (left) and number (118) on my car
with the timeslip. The other side of the timeslip was a Mustang GT and he ran a 2.169 @ 60'. His et was a 14.573 @ 95.903. My times kept improving because I was dropping air pressure after ea. run and my driving was improving in the area of the launch. As I posted elsewhere, my very first run @ 14.726 @ 96.202 was because I restarted the engine to move from lane one to the line and forgot that the TCS defaults to on each time you start the engine! So the next run was an improvement to 14.523 w/TCS off and just a bit better handle on the launch. I calmed down ea. run after and dropped tp and improved my launch and I think all those factors were reflected in the improving times.
Remember, those earlier (slower) times are the oddities due to my inexperience and the final run was more the normal as far as I am concerned. I hope to improve on that time in the coming weeks. In fact, I had planned on running tonight, where we can run some heads up and time and tune, but we are getting some much needed rain here in the Phoenix area so I'll wait for a clear day (hopefully) this coming Saturday. Regards, Jim

I don't mean to sound like a troll Jim, but are you posative you read the correct side of the slip on your last run?
The other side seems to read 14.xx @ 95.xx mph which would *seem* to match up much better to your other times, and dyno.
Did you let it cool down, or do anything special for that last run?
Just wondering what caused the rather large change.

Plenty of guys lately have been in the 240 range...do the math and you'll come up with just about 287hp with 15% drivetrain loss.

Ive read a dyno run in a import mag on the Z. Stock was 255 at the wheels. Same as the 320hp Cobra!
Wellllll, there ya go, readin' those mags again
I have seen at least 12 dyno charts on the 350 not counting my own and the highest I have seen stock was 246hp. They probably average more like 240-244 from what I have seen. Now when you throw in mine it really skews the average cause' mine was 218hp and 214 torque on my 5AT! Pretty awful until I got to the track ran a 14.102 @ 99.46. Kinda lays waste to the low dyno I rec'd. Regards, Jim

Yup stock, although I did remove the stock muffler and replace it w/Flowmaster. I don't think that had/has much bearing on the times, but it sure sounds sweeter! The stock muffler weighed 35.5 lbs w/tips and the replacement was probably 25+ lbs. So a 10# weight savings was all.

I am very pleased w/the time the 5AT gave me. I believe that with minimal improvements in launch, etc., I can eventually hit that 13.99 mark in the Touring. Regards, Jim

im going to take my 5at enthusiast to the track next week. I'll let you guys know what i get. I'm hopping to to get 14.0 flat. Jim damn dude addaboy on the 1/4 time but your dyno is hurting. Whats the deal with that, i was going to dyno my car but now i'm afraid. I read somewhere that since we have ram air, dyno numbers will be a lil different then actual whp when the car is in motion. Is that tru anyone? Another thing is i realised you live in the desert i mean Arizona.=) What was the temperature when you dynoed?

What's the best time for a bone stock auto? JimH got a great time but changed his muffler.
I'm just curious as the best confirmed time I've seen w/a bone stock 2K2 auto Maxima is 14.6 (there's allegedly a 14.4, but I'm not sure I believe it). The best I've done is 14.9 in my 2K2 Max (possibly looking to buy a Z down the road).

The chart on that page has the 97 spec (305HP rated Cobra) ... 15% drivetrain loss... still dynoed 259rwhp.

That's hi for the 350Z and a tad low for the 99 / 01 Cobras...
