agreed. Peugot is an awesome company. The 206 rally is sweet. Remember also that the commonly bashed ford is quite respected in europe as well. As for the F body comments. Pure ignorence. There are a shitload of 70's, 80's GM's that have been driven hard their entire existance that still have had no major problems. And the F body would destroy a 350 in anything involving a straight line.

I consider my taste to be very european and I don't much like american taste towards most of anything (except the food, I'm a junk food maniac). Football in my mind is a lame version of rugby, and Nascar (need I explain more). Anyway I don't love the F body, SUV's or pushrod V-8's (even though I own one) and neither do the europeans, hence they aren't popular over there(are they even offered, I saw a ford explorer add in london but never saw one on the road). Thats my own personal reason why I don't care for the cars. I could truely careless what a car does in a straight line because quite frankly in the way of aftermarket thats the easiest thing to fix, I've seen a Geo Metro run a high 10sec pass for example. The LS1 guys know they have a car that runs the 1/4 like a bat out of hell and they exploit it and rub it in to the rest of the world every chance they get. Alot of them lie to themselves about the car having awesome handling and brakes. Fact is it's a dated car. Alot of newer cars can very easily out brake out turn and out style the camaro's. Drop and LS1 into a 350z and see who has the better car then. Look at the racing Class T2. Last year (2001, 2002 it crashed out) at the valvoline run offs we saw a lone very underdeveloped S2000 place 2nd (I believe, going off memory) ahead of a pack of Camaro SS's, and mustang cobras. The S2000 quite obviously couldn't hold with them down the straights but it made up enough time under braking and cornering to hold it's own. During the pre race interviews they spoke with some of the camaro guys and they made some nice comments towards the S2000. One said "it's nice to hear this thing pass you".

The LS1's(refering to camaros, Firebirds etc.) are fine cars they just aren't my taste.

The gay looking pop up headlights quit working, diff fluid leaked, leather cracked, the little ta bird on the back was peeling and turning pink. GM builds cheap cars with cheap parts. Stop deluding yourself and ask anyone on the street what they would rather be driving, a ta or a 350z. And who cares if you've been to france...i've been to Italy, France and Spain if you wanna measure peckers. Oh, and as for being a moron..i'm about 12 months away from graduating medical school and entering a residency in orthopaedic surgery..... get a life, and a real car.
Damn man, u need to get laid or something....U had an LT1 i have an LS1 there is a difference moron, and what makes ur car real???
You will be sitting with your boyfriend in the car and trying to race me impressing him, while i blow ur doors off, embarrasing u, and chics will still like my car better, get a life nerd...Oh, and just for the record, i lived in europe...was born there too...Oh yeah also stock TAs have run 12.8s, do some research!Peace

I don't want to start any arguments but seeing the picture of the Peugeot 206 rally car reminded me of SPEED channel coverage of the World Rally Championships. The pictures from their in car cameras are great! Clearly none of the WRC rally cars are anything close to the stock cars they resemble.

CrazyBoznian: Did you watch any of the WRC while you were in Europe.

Also I've been an MD for over 30 years--and 350Redline it might be time for you to stop calling people ******s and gay and whatever.

GIVE IT UP!! I've seen LS1's run. They're a dime a dozen and they sure are not pulling 12.8's bone stock like crazydillhole is saying. More like mid 13's. They need to keep their envy over at LS1.com where people actually give a crap.
Just one question, do u ********** to ur car?

Stock corvettes (not zo6, before your nugget brain starts in on that) are barely running that. The kinda chicks you get in that car you better wash your pecker off real good when you're done.
You see its obvious u dont know jack about these cars, bc stock C5s run identical times to f-bodys, depending on the driver, but whatever, u seem to have it all figured out, i'm done arguing with you

Uhhh dude the only similarity between LS1s and LT1s is the bore and stroke everything else is completly different. You know I go to quite a few forums and browse and I will tell I have no envy what so ever for your ride, I think its a nice car and Im sure you love it but that is no reason for you to talk sh*t about something you obviously dont have a clue about. If you want to really start looking into the performance differences between the LS1 and the 350Z in straight line I think you are going to be in for a shock. And just so you know GMHTP rented a 2001 SS M6 and took it to Englishtown in July of 2001 and went 12.90@109 mph. Thats stock everything no free mods and F1 275s stock. So yes properly driven LS1 are 12 sec capable not all of them run like that mostly due to thir drivers. I just dynoed mine at 317 rwhp Ive seen 350Z on here dynoeing anywhere from 230-250 rwhp so anyway you figure Ive got 70-90 hp on your car, btw I dont even have a K&N in my Z28 and those are SAE corrected #s. But when you buy cars sometimes power isnt everything so to each thier own, I dont expect you to like GM more than Nissan, I just expect you to respect my car and not pointlessly talk sh*t. Btw I dont think my Z28 is better than the 350Z.

I love this site... I didn't know it was possible for car owners to be trolls on their own boards before I came here. I always get a kick out of some of the jokers here - it's a refreshing break from broswing the real car forums.

Car did a comparo a few months back where they compared the rally car to the Street version. Some of them were surprisingly close. The lancer being one of them. Where as others like the peogueot they were surprised even looked alike.
