Raced a 03' 540i today. It was an auto with the M5 lookalike sport package w/o the M5 wheels. Pretty sweet looking car actually. The guy did a fly-by on me, and I took the bait and caught him at the next light. I saw him switch off his TCS then look over and grin. I did the same, revved it to about 2k, then slid the clutch out when the light turned green. I got a good launch with a little tire spin, but he spun his pretty hard. Once he hooked up his nose was at my door and we stayed even that way to about 70. After that I was able to pull gradually and I shut it down when I saw his nose at my rear quarter at 120. After that we both stopped and bsed a bit. Those cars are pretty impressive not to mention rock solid. It's nice to run into a cool Beemer guy once in a while too.
