Ran a 350Z in my SS a few months ago, both from a dig and from various roll speeds. From a dig I spun and couldn't get in front of him before we hit traffic (we were behind others and simply held up traffic for a few moments and went until we hit up against traffic again - but I was closing fast, does that count?! ). We ran from a 20mph roll and I was a length ahead by the top of 2nd gear (6000RPM for me). We ran again from about a 50 punch and I started pulling right away, 3rd gear I pulled a few lengths then we were off the pedal and he turned off. We talked at a light and the guy was totally cool, we admired each other's rides, then went from the dig.

I also ran a 350Z in my SVT Contour from a dig and it wasn't pretty, I lost. Haven't run one from a roll yet but I'd expect to lose bad there too.

The Z kill page has turned into a modded Z28/Stang bragging page..

Anyway..

I haven't been able to race much since I got my car about 45 days ago since its been raining or snowing almost everyday.. But here's my short list:

-My friend's 2000 Celica GTS w/ Intake/Exhaust from 70-130, pulled atleast 7-8 car lengths before shutdown

-Lincoln LS8 from 60-110 - Pulled about 3-4 Lenghts

-Friend's 96 Mustang GT

My kills have been a 98+ Mustang GT and a LT1 Camaro. My losses have been to a Dodge Dakota pickup and a Dodge Stratus RT. I don't know what's up with Dodge but they have my number thats for sure.

It's not our fault nobody that drives a 350Z doesn't post
I mean if you guys really don't want anybody else besides Z owners here, just start making people register their VINS and kick everybody off. I am just a little upset with the attitude of some Z owners on here who think only Z owners can contribute to this site. No flames needed, just stating the obvious

Actually, I don't think the 350Z owners have a problem with us LS1 guys, its just they haven't owned their cars long enough yet to get some decent kills.

My more notable kills so far:
911 C4S put 2-3 car lengths on the guy from a 25-70mph roll
New M5, barely pulled top of 2nd gear from a roll, both shut down in 3rd gear, surprised I pulled at all.
Merc CLK430 AMG, 5 car lengths from a stop to ~80, it was ugly!
Saleen S281, 2-3 car lengths 35-70 mph roll, traffic ahead stopped play.
Several integras, civics, boxsters, stock mustang GTs etc, etc.

Loses: Only 2 so far:
Yamaha R6, 40-80 mph, hung with him for a sec, knew I was toast
Stripped 5.0 mustang, H/C, may be NOS (gauges) 40 -100mph, have to admit he was v. slowly starting to pull top of 3rd. Didn't expect that one!

Got to watch those old 5.0s, ya never know.
I also absolutely thrashed a 540i on the highway on the way up to Dallas recently. I love beating Bimmers!

Thats what I loved about my old 95GT...it looked stock...only slightly lower then stock, quiet around town...but was putting out around 300 to the ground in HP and almost 320 in tq....
The bright yellow was the only thing killing the "sleeper" effect.

850i - Big Boat - funny run
Celica GT - haha... that was funny
TT - munch, munch, munch
Turbo Bug - no... you're joking right??
80's Camaro - Toasty roasty
4000GT - that was funny... Z'ya
Hoopty *** Caddie - were we racing??
Riced Civic(s) - uh... *check-rear-view*
2003 Mustang GT (body kit) - I give GT's no respect unmodied...
Golf GT - he stuck with me for a lil bit around a corner then Z'ya!
Buick ParkAve Ultra - it was big... and it was suprisingly fast (pulley??)
A8 - 60-120... Z'ya

*** whipped by
Cobra 2000+ and lowered - not an *** whippin' he just walked

I have had a number of kills and a few losses in my Trans Am. All of the street races are detailed here.

Since this is a 350Z board, I will share my two 350 races. Neither were on the street. The first was at an autox in Houston that a friend and I made the trip down for in January. There was a pretty blue 350, so I made it a point to watch it. The drivers best time was 65.224. My slowest time was 63.761, and my best was 63.045. My friend driving my car best time was 61.978.

My second encounter with a 350 was again at an autox a couple weeks ago. This was a black track model driven by a couple. Her best time was 83.648, and hist vest time was 74.803. My best time of the day was 69.573. The same friend managed a 68.731 in my car.

Default kills/losses

The results:

All of these encounters are on the highway or tollway from approx 65 mph starting speed.

My wins:
1) Modded prelude=I drove around him, then far away by 125mph
2) 300TT Z=More than walked away but not an anihilation
3) V8 Camaro=walked away to 90 was running away by 110+
4) Boxster S=walked away
5) Merc S500=slowly walked away, quicker than Boxster for sure!
6) Merc Coup 600=too close to call, depended on traffic
7) Acura RSX=not even a contest
8) BMW 330=Running away from him at anything over 90

My losses:
1) Yamaha R1 absolutely crushed me beyond belief
2) Old C4 crushed me. He was yelling to me the mods out his window but I couldnt hear what he was saying.
3) C5 only walked on me up to 130. He was shocked and so was I as he has never had anyone run him that closely. However, I was in his draft the whole time not more than 3 lengths back so I imagine this counts for something.

My car is a 6mt 350Z Touring and I do have extensive open wheel racing experience, so I assure you I am getting everything out of the Z.

Ill only share my favorite race. I sold three of my babies to buy a mint F50 w/ 1500 mi. on the clock. I wanted to try her out of course as I just paid an arm and a leg for her, so I went cruising around hoping to find some modified Z06's or some other highly modded LS1's, but no luck. I just about gave up when low and behold, what pulls up next to me??? Aston Martin Vanquish V12, OUCH is she beautiful. I started feeling quite nostalgic looking at her so I had to race it in order to make myself feel better about giving her up. I refuse to do the whole revving mess, so I politely wave the guy, and WTF he is only about 25-30 years old. I knew he would go for it, and did. I botched my launch pretty badly, but by the time we shut down at 150 he was quite a ways back in my rearview. Braked and waited for him and gave the obligatory thumbs up and went our seperate ways. That day was one of the best days I have had, ever!

Just to make sure I have the lingo correct. Are you saying there is a BMW expo at Motorsports Ranch? If so I would be interested. How can I get more info about it? I.E. do we get to run our cars or their cars around the track?

Any info would be appreciated.
