What kind of race 1/4mile, track? what are talking about. I think track the 350 would win it's tighter it's got a better displacement and powerband. 1/4mile I don't know, would be close that is of course if you are talking about a tt rx7 otherwise 350 all the way.But like everbody else say's it comes down to driver, so do us a favor and kick your friends a** to shut him up.

All FD's are TT. It's close.... I have a feeling the FD would take it though.

it will beat you in a straight, no way on a track though.......

And track is what its all about.........

most time is spent driving the bends not racing in straight line.

and while im on the subject, its easy to build a muscle car that goes to 60 in 5 secs, but making it go on a track takes aloot more.

Amen, ill shut up now

rx7 is light as hell, and certainly can outhandle the Z, but it must use that to its advantage very well, it does not have anywhere near the pure power and torque, meaning if they drop from the power band they are done for, the Z is much more forgiving since it is NA, has torque down low, and doesnt require absolute perfect braking and such to still turn decent times.

quarter mile, I give it to the Z, but bad driver vs good could easily change that outcome.

but racing and finding out isnt a bad choice, last I checked the cars dont drive themselves. so while comparing this car to that one, included driver comparisons. and no mag can give an accurate time for you or your buddy.

Agreed...the rx7tt is still classed in super stock by the SCCA. It dominated that class until the C5 'Vette and then it was usually a toss-up as to which would win. Only the Z06 has been able to completely dominate the rx7tt.

The rx7tt's only drawback is reliability...is there a truly stock one out there that is in good running condition?

In terms of straight line speed with even drivers the Z should win. Going from a stop might kill you as the RX-7s supposedly launch very well. A totally stock RX-7 runs about a 14.1@99 or so, so it should be really close but the Z should be able to edge him out if you drive your car well. Also, if the car has a lot of miles on it or wasn't taken care of well it may be a bit slower than it is supposed to be.
