Default Anybody up for a race?

Once the weather gets better out, I will probably start running my car at Atco. If anyone wants to run a little old Buick, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Oh, I'm stock. I just wish some 350Z owner would be brave enough to run me.

P.S. You have a great car there. I love Camaro Z-28s, especially the 4th Generation. Are you stock or modded? If modded, what do you have? Once again, nice car.

Thanks alot for the compliments. I just have a custom exhaust(loud ) and its lowered with a pro-kit from Eibach. Its visual mods mostly. She is plenty fast enough to keep my butt in trouble though.

I dont think its that they arent brave enough to run you, I just think that alot of them(those who are uneducated and arent on the board) arent sure what exactly what their car can do. On a majority of what I have seen, the owners of the Z's arent exactly the racing crowd. Anyways, do you have any pics of your ride. I like those body styles. Later man.

Bo

P.S. If I were local, I would run ya. Ill run anything on wheels.

Refresh my memory, what did the regular GNs run the quarter in truly stock (no boost increases, etc)?

I remember 0-60s in the mid 5s (I think Buick quoted 5.6), but I can't recall the 1/4s.

I nearly ordered an 87 GN right at the end of production...well, actually, I did, but the order was rejected due to an order error, and it was one day too late

I got a Syclone a few years later, so all was well

If I am not mistaken, I beleive they run roughly what Z's do in the 1/4. Like 13.9 or so

The GN/TR (Turbo Regal) ran a 13.8-13.9, stock. The Buick GNX (a higher performance version of the GN) ran a high 12-low 13 second quarter. The stock GN/TR was rated at 245 hp/355 torque in 1986-1987, but was underrated and putting down closer to 260-275 hp. The GN/TR's top speed is limited to 124 mph, but according to the rumors, it is capable of 150 mph. The GNX was rated at 275 hp/365 torque, but was actually putting down about 300+ hp (most people estimate 310-320 hp). Just alittle FYI; only 547 GNXs were made, and Car and Driver got a bone-stock GNX to do 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. And of course, all GNs, TRs, and GNXs are autos.

Bo-

Sorry man, no pics (yet). I will try and get some once the weather gets nicer. Do you have any pics of the Z-28? If so, please post them, I would love to check it out!

Mannish-

So you had a Syclone? How did you like it? They are great little trucks. Who would suspect an S-10 with upgraded rims to be faster then most sports cars? Gotta love that sleeper appeal. By the way, do you have any pics of your Syclone, and was it stock or modified?

I would be happy to run you sometime, I live near Harrisburg. I'll run you in my Z, or if you'd like you can race my slow old Buick! I've never raced at Atco before, I usually go to either Beaver Springs or Cecil County, but I'd be interested in coming down and trying it out.

Have Stock with a Kenne Belle intake, 18,000 garage queen that makes trips to Home Depot and can be driven when the Z can't go (don't have any good shots, just got the camera):

If I did everything right, that should be the link to the pics of my car. The pics are before the the lowering kit. Believe me, it looks a lot better now. I will try to get some new pics of it sometime this week. Later man.

Make shure and take a good video!

I can see it now...a battle of the V6s!

Granted the 350Z lacks a turbo, and .3 liters, but its got a 16 year technology advantage.

Anyway...it would make an awesome vid.

Hey, that Camaro looks fantastic! The yellow paint is custom, right? I have never seen yellow paint on a 4th Generation Camaro before, but I'll tell ya, looks amazing. I like!

P.S. Just curious, how old are you? I'm 19. Later man.
