Well went for a cruise last night finally since the weather was nice, and the ride was with my dad and his viper. We were driving around all night, and nothing was out. Finally on the way home we were coming up to a light and there sat a new Z06. He was in the right lane so I got behind him and let the viper go beside him. They had their windows down talking so I was listening and they said the year of the cars and stuff like that and how nice they were. And then I heard them say that they were gonna go on green. Light turns green and they went, and I tried to keep up but really couldn't haha. But the viper had him off the line and the hole rest of the way. Ended up beating him really bad, like 3-4 car lengths and he was still pulling when he shut it down. I love both of those cars, but aren't the new Z06's suppose to be faster. I thought it would keep up but really didnt, but either did I haha.

 

Viper and Z06.......400+ HP haha

350Z.....................287 HP haha

 

I know the viper gts is faster, the new r/t are just as fast as the z06 and the older r/t aren't.

 

Might have been a bad driver in the Z06.

Either way though, given equal drivers, the GTS will beat the Z06 (by a good margin) everytime. Damn Vipers

That isn't completely correct. The new R/T 10 is faster then the GTS for one. Second the older R/T 10 is faster then a Z06 from 97 and up.

The 92 - 96 R/T 10 is close to the Z06 but I think the Z06 has the edge.

 

I pulled up Next to a late model Red Viper GTS today....he declined a "run".

Probably a smart move on his part since I was on my R6
