Raced a White 350Z
Hey guys, I don't own a 350Z, but possibly the Z I raced today may be present on this forum. It was on the 405 south, a little farther north past South Coast plaza by a couple miles. Had a passenger. But anyways, just wanted to give the guy a thumbs up.
We were kind of toying around with each other until he had to exit, where he then gave me a thumbs up as he exited. I did the same, but not sure if he saw me so here I am. BTW, the car I was driving is a stock silver C32AMG. Unfortunately, not enough room to line up and get a good run going, but I have to say, the Z is pretty damn fast. When he'd get the jump on me by a couple seconds, I seriously could not reel him in like I thought I would. Although when I got the jump, I'd leave him by a bit too.

wow, thats some good stuff. Good honest post i love people like that. But...the m3 guys are gonna have a field day with this, see how c32's are quicker on the quarter mile. MAN i'd love to see a Z pull away from a m3......
I don't think a Z will pull on an m3, but it will in my opinion hang. I was out a couple months ago with a couple Supras, and automatic Z, and a manual E46 M3. We didn't get a chance to have the Z and M3 run together, but we had a bone stock auto supra run the auto Z, and although the Supra was slightly ahead, the Z was definitely hanging. As for the M3 vs C32 1/4 mile... it really depends on who's driving the M3. Obviously for the C32, you just gun it and make sure you don't spin out off the line. But in my experience, a proper m3 driver can take down a C32.

it's hard to say. the amg only comes in automatic, 350hp with 4 doors and is FI with a blower. the m3 is a coupe with 333hp, manual and is n/a. the power comes to play differently, and relies on different factors to go fast. i really feel the power in the amg does not get serious until after 3000 rpms, when the boost starts turning up. i don't own an m3, but being n/a it's probably different. i've gotten rides in a couple, and have seen them go, but i can't make any firm conclusions.
bro that was a clean C32 you had, when i saw you i wanted to race, i was suprised most ppl with nice fast cars like yours dont like to race but you were cool, i was suprised how you also were swerving in and out of traffic, you were down most ppl are usualy scared, BTW was that your girl friend she looked hot! i was with my friend we were on the 605 the 405 was coming up i was on my way to baja fresh in cerritos but i had to run with you, when we were in the car pool lane and i was behind you i couldnt catch up you were slightly gaining speed on me, your car is the fastest 4 door i have seen, anyways hopefully ill see you again maybe at some meets or something if you know of any around here hit me up, and a Z cant pull on a new M3 i have raced 2
yeah, thanks for the compliments. i was on the way home from the RS*R drift event, which was off the hook by the way. orido is a drift maniac. but anyways, yeah i am unfortunately a hazard to society on the road. i just got a ticket for exhibition of speed and unsafe speeds last month. i'm really trying to tone down, cause insurance is just getting really ugly. and yes that was my girl, thanks again for the compliments.
i have to hand it to you man, you are an animal on the road as well. ha ha. i am thinking of putting on a renntech parts on the car. i believe it includes a lighter pulley, 'maybe' some internals, not too sure what else. basically it's going to turn up the boost, maybe throw in some race gas and it'll be good to go. i believe with that kit the car can hit 400whp+ on pump gas. not too sure.
you looking into any FI? i hear greddy and hks are putting out some turbo kits / have done so already.
but yeah once again, thumbs up to you.

i wish i would have known about the event i would have gone, i have gottne 6 tickets since i got my z 4 speeding 1 speed contest and 1 u turn, so i feel you on that. if you hook up your car with that kit you will smoke most things on the road, i am planing on FI in a few months to a year after a few ppl blow their motors and i know which is the best kit for my car. i would get a single turbo because it would be less problems and the lag can be controlled if set up right. twin turbo in a few years once warranty is done and there are some good internals out for the Z, anyway do you have an aim screen name or soemthing maybe we can roll to some meets or something. Mine is DrDuBBz
sounds good. i don't go on aim, sorry. but maybe we'll run into each other at some event. take care and good luck with those tickets. i actually have to go to court for mine in about 6 hours and meet my public defender, who better not do a half azz job defending me or i'll be quite upset.
i get an okay discount on volks, about 10-15%. i don't know which wheels come in 19s, as most come in 18s or smaller. i believe the te-37 might come in 19 like the one on the top secret 350z, but i'm not sure? i get a pretty good discount on iforged wheels, and if you're willing to wait i know someone on the east coast who sells bbs for pretty good price.
speaking of hook ups in general, i sell computer systems / parts and do web design. so if you ever need any of that, let me know as well.
but volks are a great choice. very light and sturdy.

nice car, PEACE!!!
depends on what type of body kits... jdm stuff is a bit harder to acquire. as for the bbs, it would be up to my friend to what kind of discount she can give you. her company is called echelon tuning, located in boston. her number is (413) 246-9980 and ask for diana. just tell her sam from california sent you, and she'll give you a good price. she's usually really nice about it. yeah sure i'll let you know when i go to anymore events, but i am not an auto crossing fan. cone dodging is cool and all, but not for me.
