Raced a 240sx an a T/A Firehawk
I got a race with an early 90s 240sx with an SR20DET engine swap. He was running 9 PSI and has a 3 inch downpipe, Greddy V-spec FMIC, Apex BOV, and HKS intake. I hope I got that right and I am not forgetting anything.
We raced from a dead stop. By the time I shifted into 2nd, I was already a car length ahead. Through 2nd gear, didn't gain or lose any distance, then shifted into 3rd and got another car length on him. By the time I shut down, I was 2 1/2 car lengths ahead of him.
He was a really cool guy. After we raced, we pulled over into a parking lot and talked. He wasn't happy that he lost, but he said that if he was going to lose, he is glad that it was to a fellow Nissan owner. He mentioned that he raced stock 350z and beat it by a car 1.5 car lengths. He knew I wasn't stock because one of his friends knows one of my friends and told him about my car.
The same night, I raced a 1998 T/A Firehawk (not a WS6) from a 60 roll. We went to 110 and I lost, but the good news is that the front of my car was at his side view mirror, but he would have kept on pulling away from me if we went further. When we punched it at 60, I actually pulled a head a tiny bit and but by 110 he was a few feet ahead.
All in all, it was a fun night
