the other day a guy in a riced out Honda Accord wanted to play with my 350Z. So he rolled down his window at a light in pines blvd. He asked hey man are you running anything under that hood. I told him nope its my brand new stock Z. He says nice car man. I ask him if he had anything. He said all he had was intake, exhaust (sounds like a fart), and he told me his car had well over 300 hp...i was like yeah rite buddy with jus intake and exhaust on a 2000 accord. He obviously had to have something more under that hood of his. So i gave him the thumbs up. On green we took off. It was a joke. I gave him a 1 sec head start, then i go...i take him on 3rd, and whoosh..i had him by 4-5 car lengths goin about 105. The guys like wow man you have to have something under that hood, cuz a 287 hp car against my 320 hp accord. thats impossible...i was like sure buddy your stupid Accord doesn't have 320 hp, and those stickers don't count. he also mentioned that he had raced a 2001 saleen mustang (stock) and beat it. Obviously this guy with the accord with the shopping cart spoiler was all BS. .So i told him Z ya L8er and was out like a rocket.

 

Heh, I got that once. A co-worker of mine (some 19-year-old) kept bragging to everyone in the office that his '88 IROC-Z has 400 horses and does 0-60 in 3.8 seconds... Then when he finally got his license back (suspended for running a red light) he keeps trying to ask me to race him, and even after I stroke his ego and tell him that his car's badass and fast as heck, he follows me to the parking lot after work, calls me a "*****" and tries to instigate a race again. "What u scared for, i'll beat that red import piece of s*** and you'll be crying) So I took him at the next red light. He was revving his engine obnoxiously like it'd make him any faster... and I nail a perfect launch and beat him by 4 car lengths to 60 mph and I cut off. He wouldn't even look at me afterwards Next day, he says "oh why did you slow down for? you're such a *****!" Sigh... Dumbasses can only go so far. Anyhoo, my boss who has a 2001 GS300 blew his camaro away too, and now the kid is nice and quiet. I love my boss

 

If the guy in the riced out accord thinks he beat a Saleen Mustang, he's smoking crack. I'm sure what probably happened was there was one at a stop light and he beat it because the Mustang driver didn't know they were racing.

 

N/A saleens are low 5's stock. There is no way to get an accord to 320 hp without adding supercharger/turbo/nitrous. Stupid people think intakes and exhaust add 30-40hp each or something

 

Exactly that ricer..all he said was BS..A Saleen Mustang will take him anyday..Just makes me mad seeing ricers that think their cars are all fast because of stickers and Folgers Can Exhaust.

 

Personally, I think they're hysterically funny: Possibly because they're almost always wrong and they're so sure about it, and they always have an excuse.

A guy I know thinks his $2000 crx with a motor swap will beat my Z when I get it. Right.

 

I bet you he will beat you. Considering most CRXs are well under 2200lbs, when you drop a B16A, B18C1, B18C5, LS/VTEC, or CRVTEC, that car is damn quick.

 

I wonder if its the same guy who tried to play with me when I was on I-75N (around Miramar Parkway-Pines). I wasn' t in the Z at the time... but I was in the boosted Celica. Wasn't even a contest.. silly kid.

A black beat up crx with one of the tallest wings i've ever seen (painted RED!) buzzed by me today on the freeway ... looked like a very large out-of-control lawnmower.

These guys crack me up -- especially when they're driving so seriously (and with a lean).

We need more of these clowns!

 

oh come on why do ricers do that to their cars. Ladies want a sexy looking sports car like the Z. Not a cagged up car like a riced up accord with the tall spoilers. I think ladies would rather hitch a ride in a Z, than a ricer.

 

It's a combination of no money and bad taste. There's a few guys that go to my friend's speed shop that drop their whole paychecks to put exhaust tips, glowing emblems/gauges, nozzle lights, and pedal sets, on an old 80's toyota corolla for example.

In fact a guys family came in one day begging my buddy not to sell anymore crap to him, because he's throwing away all his cash (almost $200 a week) on parts for his beat up car. The worse part is, he's married, has two kids and he's 30!

Just wait till the next F&F film ... within a month you'll see even more of them.

After the first film, the shop was bombarded with kids (cash in hand) asking for NAWWZ on their cars (camry's, accords, saturns)
