Default Got smoked by an older 911 Turbo

Didn't know what year it was, but by the styling of it, it looked like a mid-late 90's version.......

*disclamer* I know street racing is stupid, but this was too good of an opputunity to pass up.

Anyways, I get home around 9ish (pm) and park in the street right behind this car..... Pullin up to it, I could see some super fatty rear wheels, prolly 12's or somethin, they were huge...... Other than that it looked pretty stock......

Well around 10 o'clock me and my ol'lady go to get food, and at the same time as we were walkin' to the car the 911 owner was walking to his.... Nothing was said, just exchanged glances and nodded at each other and got into each of our cars.... At this time I'm tellin' my gf to check out how fat his wheels are (i'm still in awe) and I notice the turbo badge just under the spoiler.... As soon as he gets in his car and starts her up, I could tell he had done something to the car cuz the **** was LOUD..... Not old car loud, but, I-mean- business loud......

So we both leave, him leading, obeying the speed limit (we were still in residential) going towards a 4 lane (2 coming 2 going) street and headed towards the BLVD.... As soon as we both get to the 4 lane street he WOT and is gone, took me by suprise but I saw the light ahead was red and figured I'll line up with him up there......

Well I'm just about at the light, still (prolly 20ft from him) in 2nd gear and slowing down when the light turns green...... BAM, I step on the throttle and hear the 911 go WOT and just leaves me like I was standing still , no spinning, no nothin', his tires grip and he was gone..... Well, I just give up as I shift into third and tell my GF that I ain't even gonna try anymore..... That phucker was fast.....

I couldn't help but laugh at myself, and all my GF could say was "DAMN"..... When I finally reach the light at the BLVD intersection I see him makin' a left towards the highway and I go on my way (right @ the BLVD) towards the burrito shop..... Too bad cuz I wanted to ask the dude what was done to it and give him a thumbs up..... Oh well, I've never seen him or that car in the neighborhood before but If I ever see him again I'll take some pics of his car.......

Good race. I respect the fact that you knew you'd lose but did it anyway. Hahaha, I like how you both saw each other and just nodded, both prolly (probably) thinking the same thing, "I want to race him." Well, I guess he was prolly (probably) thinking something more like, "I want to mop the floor this Z." I saw one a few weeks ago...too much traffic to have any fun (more fun him), but yeah, I remember those HUGE back tires.

Why would you think something was done to the P-car ? 993 Turbos (1995 - 1998 models) produced 400 hp with 4 wheel drive. The exhaust sound is an option you can get with the Porsche, its right from the factory
