RodH, i have seen a couple of your posts before. And i have been lead to ask this question: What the hell does your dad do for a living? Your family owns a Z, an amg, and a sL55? And what kind of wheels are on your Z. And how much was your clear bra? And what car cleaning products do you use on your Z? and what do you mean the Z is "close to the 93 + rx7s?" Will we able to slowly pull away from an rx7?

I have and 1993 RX-7 and a Performance Z. Since I drive both I can assure you my Z car will not slowly pull away from thr RX-7. The RX-7 has awesome acceleration from 80 MPH on up.

No, I am not asian I'm Italian American. Yes the RX-7 is faster than my Z car both in 0-60 and the top end. The RX-7 is a twin turbo with 255 HP and weights approximately 2800 lbs. It has sequential turbo's (a small and a large one) which virtually eliminates turbo lag. It is better handling since it is almost 400 pounds lighter. It is not a big difference but is noticable to someone who has driven both cars.

This is to the "italiano Americano". You aren't asian? Man, i was wrong. I was so wrong that i was....wrong. What do you mean the rx7 will beat the Z? It's like saying the Z will beat an ls1 maro ss(if both drivers are equally skilled). Sure the Z weighs less than the Super Sport but it will still lose by a power/torque difference. Stock 93+rx7s run 14.3-14.7, ALRIGHT? WORD? The Z runs an average of 14.1. Sure, the Z and the rx7 might run even at some mph, but then the Z will start pulling away. Sure, twin turbo always has it's advantages, such as great top end, but in this case, the naturally asperated Z will PULL AWAY, WORD WORD WORD WORD WODRD

In terms of handling, the rx7 will easily walk the 350Z. .98 skid pad #'s of the rx-7 tell the story.
both are nice cars.

Seriously Lee? And who recorded your 0-60 time? Yourself? Did you time yourself with a stopwatch? Lee, there has been an official post in this "racing forum" of a Daytona Track blue Z running a 13.77 , stock everything(street tires etc). What now Lee? What? What? what? what? Lee, come on man, just admit it, you already had a cai or other mod(s) when you ran your rx7 at 13.8, give it up Italian Man. What about the rx8 Lee? It's got the same bhp as the rx7, certainly it should have a faster 0-60 time because of the lack of turbo "spoolage"(rx8 is n/a). In fact, Car and driver gave the rx8 a 6.1 0-60 time. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? lee, quit defending your hoary import, the rx7 was nice for it's time, but it's time to move on. Your rx7 is running the same times as a 02 + maxima or altima.

btw, I like the RX7, I think it is a cool car and (still) looks very cool. I was driving next to one the other day (he was stopped next to a light and turning) and I said to my wife, "if I couldn't afford a new Z and wanted good performance, that is what I would have liked".
Between the RX and the M3 E36, those are some great cars for teh #.

An RX-7 will not rape a 350Z stock vs. stock. If you go by the seat of the pants feel, the RX-7 does feel very fast. Whoever commented about "no turbo lag" has got to be kidding though, this car is the definition of it. It has almost nothing until 3000 rpm or so, then the first turbo kicks in and it starts to pull but it isnt until 5000+ where the 2nd turbo kicks in that it finally wakes up. Once the 2nd turbo is spooling it feels very quick. If you drove them back to back you would swear the RX-7 is faster, but at the least they would be even.
The 1/4 mile times I have seen stock for the RX-7 are right around a 14.0@99 mph, right around the 350Z. The RX-7s are supposedly a lot easier to hook than a Z and it has been around a lot longer for people to get 13's out of them - just look at how many more 13 second timeslips are showing up now that people have had their cars for a while. If you run into one on the street, it would definitely be a driver's race.

You will the RX7 ran 13.7 @ 101, ran 0-60 in 5.0 seconds flat.
Im not ******* the 350Z, I used to hate it, now I like it alot. I think the cars exterior is going to be a classic like the Rx-7.
the RX7 is a 13 second car, the 350Z is a 14 second car, its that simple. Also, once you mod either car, the Z has 0 chance.
Later.
