350Z Racing
There are two competitive 350Z teams in the Grand-Am Cup and there should be a couple of Zs that will threaten to win at theValvoline Runoffs this year, too. The two Grand-Am Cup teams also ran their cars in the GT category for the Rolex race at Phoenix. See other posts in this forum for details on those efforts.
The 350Z is already a multi-time winner in SCCA National T2 competition, and it's just a matter of time before the Grand-Am Cup GSII wins start rolling in. Plus, I wouldn't be too surprised to see a SPEED World Challenge 350Z program emerge in the next 8 months.

I follow the SpeedWorldChallenge and the Z is going to have a real tough time competing in that. It'll have to run in the GT class and I don't think it'll be able to make enough power to hang with the other entries. The Porsche is the only 6cyl car in the GT I believe. I think there is also an RX7 that is no competitive at all.

yeah...i agree.
there was a nissan team that was running the 350 Z engine with twin clickers
in their r34 skylines for a while in JGTC 500 class against supras and nsx's etc. i didnt see them gain a respectable finish at all untill mid season they put the rb26 back in. i suspect it was the chassis/motor combo, but who knows. the Z is up for some stiff competition, but i wish it all the luck. its good to see it opening up into races hopefully. depends on what they do with it.....
nissan is also having a spec V se-r run in a speed vision class. i cant wait to see that thing scorch some ****
