I agree, it will be a little while before a 350Z will run 12's on motor alone. I'd say it will happen within the next 2 months though, I have a real good feeling about that.
Hmmm, care to explain?

strip the car to under 2700-2800lbs, put on some slick tires, then you are in 12's... with stock motor.

How about Crawford Intake and Headers with high flow or gutted cats.

3200 Stall Torque Converter (already have a girdle) tranny and oil cooler and my N20 100 Shot on QTP Hoosiers?

11's....

Reduce the 100 shot to 65HP and add Greddy Turbo to supplement my intake and exhaust after that?

Can you say plan B?

Can you say bye bye wife (inside joke)

P.S. 12.5 in less than a week for me or I will eat a bug. Not a big nasty Fear Factor bug but maybe a worm or something?

12.5 1.7 60 foot at ?? We will try. Fixed some quirks and two friends coming by tomorow for more tweaking.

dropping 2-300 lbs and some nice tires will take a low 14 car into the high 13s, mid at best.

thatd be more of 4-500lbs, but none the less, not gonna get you to 12s. mid 13s, maybe low with the slicks. but 287hp isnt gonna get anything over 2500lbs down the track in 12seconds, not IMO anyway.

w/ a 1/4 tank of fuel & me in it, weighed in @ 3455lbs after the 12sec pass.

This is not a light car.

Yeah that is a sour note with me, it should weigh less IMHO it's a small compact V6 without any backseat and it's over 3k pounds?
My Trans Am was up in that range with a full back seat! A little more but twice the dang size!

That seems heavy to me, full tub it sure, not me though my car looks sweet in leather with the stereo etc.

Exactly... my 95 Z28 with 290~300rwhp (based on mods..by no means accurate.) weighs 3520 with me in it and 1/4 tank of gas...I sure as hell can't hit 12s.

You need to get that pig on a diet..and get some dyno numbers

No cage. This is my daily driver. Full interior down to the spare tire.

My trunk is gutted, no spare or jack and my exhaust and some other stuff was either lightened or removed but it is a DOT certified daily driver.

I am planning a Dyno trip because I just hit 6k miles and haven't done one in awhile.

Ya know, I remember the Under Pressure guy saying that he would make an appearance at Race Wars in Reynolds, GA but I was absolutely the ONLY one with a 350Z there as far as I could tell. That truly sucks because he would have been the only 350Z running that day. I entered the dyno challenge but not the drags(due to car full of luggage and a wife).

I will be @ the Bristol NOPI event for sure. Sorry to disappoint the fans, haha...

12.8 eh?

Upgrade? (perks}

Get everything fixed? Clutch good? Still running a 150ish shot?

I race Saturday with a 100 shot and an "upgrade" wish me luck.

btw, i have a supercharged civic running 12.1 @ 112mph, air to water intercooled @ 10 psi.

I was under the impression that spraying a 150-ish shot would be too much for stock internals. I'm ASSuming stock internals. And if 150-ish isnt too much, what is then? I am in no way trying to discount UnderPressure and his times because i was not there to see it. Just have to take his word for it. Congrats anyways!! Any info is appreciated.

Venom's Toyata Tundra with a Supra Engine did 7 seconds!

i call BS. ive raced at tracks all over the country and not a drag strip out there includes reaction time in the elapsed time. the timer does not start until you break the staging beams.
