11.7 @ 116 Mph 8/27/03 New Record
Well again i would like to thank all of the members that came to support the effort andrew rubio put forth last night.
after a few nos misfires, and a blistering 12.00 run with the front tire going FLAT, we got one more chance before they close for the night.
everything seamed right, even the Planet MARS was closeing in the see if we could better our 11.99. run in July before the addition of the clutch and new UR lightweight Flywheel.
after adding the line locks the burn out was amazing, hot sticky slicks rolled to the line, great launch, a 1.62 60 foot ( tied for our best of the night) nos wide open, car screaming down the track, i took my eye off the camera for a second to see the lights flash

andrew drove the hell out of it, the nos bottle had run out, we thought we could get in one more with a fresh bottle, but not this night.

Wow that is AMAZING! I seen the car not too long ago, very nice. Well I know he can drive like hell, he has mad skills. I guess it runs in the family. Well congrats to the Smithtown Family for that insane time.

joc, anyone know how/if the z is performing in the professional drag racing world. i don't know much about this stuff, but lately it's been on espn a lot and today i saw a celica running 9s. i saw crx's and some other subcompacts getting similar numbers.

is there any reason why you (bluefish) take the car all the way to jersey, just to test it.. englishtown is'nt that great of a track( unless their having a meet there, then they clean and coat the track).. especially when you start to make decent power with the car.. why drive 21/2 hrs when you can drive 25 minutes for the same results? jay
