I notice that it's back out of your Sig again... I suspect that's a bad sign...

I'll be back at it very soon, as I'm at the shop full time (631-863-3820 if you need any parts lol).

Mine is coming along, but currently moving slowly too. Ended up special ordering a set of pistons and they seem to be taking forever to come in. Can't do much until we get the pistons.

In any case, surprised how much you've gained from tuning alone.

it shouldn't come as any surprise...proper tuning is what separates just a nice parts list from actually working and making power. This is still all being done on regular run of the mill pump gas as well. Both tunes done so far have been completed in 85-90 degree weather. I'm sure with race gas put into the mix, on a nice cool, fall day, another 10-15 whp could easily be achieved, but I'm all about tuning for the worst case scenarios, as it's just a street car

You're not going to net 35 whp from going to ITB's on this car, let alone going +1 on valves, whether you use an ITB or not. Based on what I've seen with a bunch of heads on the bench, I'd bet you would not even gain 5 whp. The valve diameter is not the biggest issue on the car, especially in NA form, there are plenty of other areas to focus resources IMHO. Again, a good machinist is the single most important factor in building this, or any other engine

I won't get into what dyno #'s race teams world wide are getting out of the VQ because that's neither here nor there. Keep in mind that those are full out race builds, on race gas, with tremendous compression, very aggressive cams, dry sump oil systems, full standalone mgmt., sequential gearboxes, etc - these are not street cars by any stretch of the imagination, these are full out, competition level, $300,000 race cars. Yes, those engines certainly do exist, and have for quite some time. For about $50k starting price, they'll even sell you one I bet http://www.rjnmotorsport.com/ is one such source.
The 380RSC race car yes uses a Jenvey setup...but it's not the same setup as you see posted, as the RSC uses an HR engine, not a DE, and it's also got significantly lower mounting than a std. VQ engine, different trumpets, a fully spec'd airbox (I'd guess around $5k alone for that), etc etc.
