I'm gonig to give the 10w30 a try first to see if it is any different for the oil burning. I'm currently using their conventional stuff right now at that same weight (car is still burning oil but less than before. zcg is still working on it as we play around with the cams). Then if we are still in warm weather and if hte car still burns oil i'll give the 20w50 a try or perhaps do a mixture of the two.

wow. WHat an awesome 20 pages to read. I was that bored lol. So glad i gave up the NA dream years ago. I know your happy with where your car is but if you want power there is way easier ways to accomplish it not NA. i dont mean any disrespect from this but wow that was a ton of money/+ months of waiting for parts etc to achieve such a low hp. Also after reading several post from Z1 hes all against MR LTs so kinda glad i didnt pull the trigger on them.

My car is basically prepped for a supercharger. When that time comes, the work/money will pay off. Until then, I definitely exceeded the components and tolerances needed for 400whp.
Additionally, Z1 never had them on his car and I'm not even sure if he's ever seen anything other than pictures, so take that with a grain of salt. When I installed the SG headers with my old setup, untuned, they made no more power than the Megan's. They're not a bad product and plenty of people will vouch for them.
Good luck with finding your ideal sound.

your car SC is gonna be plain nasty. Also i wish others actually had more vids/info/dyno sheets on the headers. like i told u in the pm iv dumped tons of money into exhaust not for power but looking for the right sound. Which is why im hesitant to buy ART pipes or your LTs. Both im sure will gain hp and tq however what will it do for me sound wise.

Iirc, it was broken in w 5w30 German Castrol. From what I've read, it is a heavier 30 weight oil and does well in our cars, based on oil analysis. I now have a LubroMoly 5w40 in there. Full synthetic.

Mgrotel, those are all fair choices, too. I like the 370z sport wheels, too. They are more aggressive looking than the Nismos.
Gabe, I had the 06 revised suspension and OEM brembos. I bought a 07-08 Nismo suspension that I might hold onto or sell; I'm not sure yet. I found a good deal on the Bilsteins, so I snatched them up.

I LOVE the comparison of our headers to the Megan headers at high rpm. It's nice to see them make another 10lb-ft of torque as well. I think that proves the advantages of a stepped header and true merge collectors, as well as proper equal length action.
275lb-ft with the cosworth manifold is really good, and I would imagine with a stock non-revup lower your torque would be close to 290 (although I'd imagine the power would be roughly the same).
Great work man! Now bigger cams are needed for even more jam!
