Default Problems : ReVup Cams on DE cams

Alright so im at the shop and I pull off the cam sprockets off the DE Cams

I notice that the bolt on the DE cams (bolts) are shorter than the RevUp cams (bolts) Exhuast side

Ive install the dowel pin and sprocket but the DE bolt is too short and wont even thread in.

The RevUp bolt is longer and leaves about half of inch (hand tight)

is there something else im missing here ? do I need spacers ?

A buddy of mine said his was straight forward , re-use the DE bolt into the Cams.

im 100% sure these are RevUp cams , but could there be differnt years ? or am I missing something ?

I search and search but not quite seeing what im looking for and im a limited internet connection right now.

Need some quick answer from some experenice guys or whomever.

Thank you

how could you expect a revup (with a special exhaust cam magnet retarding system) to use the same bolt as a non-rev with just a plain gear?

pretty sure a new bolt is the only method.
