I found out it's to eliminate "pad knock back"
I didn't know what it was either.

I guess under hard cornering these cars can compress the pads back on their cyllinders in the calipers. Which means when you arrive at a corner and depress the brake pedal , all your pads reach is air, instead of the rotors.

^ This.. it's to reduce the time it takes for the pads to actually do their job.

ill test this in a couple weeks when I go back to the track. What im scared of though is instead of tapping the brake a bit ill hit the brake quite hard which would not be good lol..

Practice a little on the way to the track or in a parking lot. All you're wanting to do is tap them slightly to get the pads back where they're supposed to be. You shouldn't be pressing the pedal enough to even slow the car down.

Sasha/SG: Great work guys!

If you have OEM Brembos and slicks you will learn about it fairly quickly

I never noticed it with the 06+ stock brakes nor do I notice it on the Brembos with my street tires.

I think you're realistically pushing closer to $10k+ in parts alone...Hell, I doubt $5k could get you just the ITB's if you include the tuning for it!

ITBs....$2.5k?
Haltech....$2.5k?
Cams....$1k
Headers...$1-2k
Exhaust....$1k
Convert to cable throttle....$???
Pistons, Rods, springs, rings, etc......$????
Tune...???
its under 5K for a full kit from me

Can u daily w ITBs? I always hear they're tough to tune. I'd be in for 5k, if they were reasonably street tunable.

This is nothing compared to real race teams, with real engine development budgets.

But I've learnt:

Big cams + Big headers + Open intake + RPM = horsepower

It's a lot simpler than people make it out to be.

Can't wait to get out and beat on this thing

They were going to post more videos of the setup,

and from what ive been told they may be re-opening.

from my contacts , next time I just message them , cause posting on a public forum everyone seems to know more what is going on than the OP
