Default e85 na tune

So I can't get this damn picture to load from my computer. Anyway. After seeing 0threefifty's and others results with e85 I decided to give it a try. Can't find my other build post but I guess we can have another discussion on this here. Took the car to church auto and had Shawn do a pretty sold, conservative tune. I have a return system with a cell, walbro 255 pump and r35 gtr injectors. Fuel pressure was set around stock at 55psi. Engine is internally stock with just bolt ons. Now we all know Hub dynos read a little higher so don't come to the table with that bull ****! Plus I am not a #'s chaser, obviously since we are n/a here, but the car feels way stronger even on this conservative tune. So car made 330 at 71xxrpm and 284 torque at the hubs. I figure this decent. Now I don't have an obd port for reasons I can only attribute to stripping the harness while drunk so every time the tune needed adjustment the ecu had to be unplugged and uploaded manually. I am really going to have to repin that connector. But for now this should suffice. Got it up. Makes power all the way to redline.

I have been thinking about going e85. Just bought bigger injectors and will be buying fuel pump with my christmas money. Nice results, what year z is this?...are you running full e85 or a mix?

It's a strait e85 tune. Car is an 03 with 06 rev-up and drive train. Reving to 7500.

Wow. That's sick! Nice job trying it out.

Do you have UpRev logs for it?

Thanks, I don't have any logs because I don't have that obd port to plug into.

Sure if you want to just pull numbers out your ***. I care as much about gas mileage numbers as I do about "whp" right now. Its a track car so as long as it does 1 lap I am good, and I am unclear on the difference between minor and major bolt -ons.

Most de never hit 300 I did not say that to insult you. I already said that you got good results. Minor meaning exhaust and intake. Man people get offended so quickly these days. I did not ask you if you if you cared about it or not. I'm asking how is the gas mileage.

I doubt you will see 20 on the highway. FWIW, I get about 3.5mpg on track and 1.5mpg while autocrossing.

Hehe, that sounds about right. Just on the dyno we ran through a half tank. Or rather half of what was in there, maybe 4 gal. So it does not get
good mileage.

As for this, I am not offended at all. I was frustrated with some home work and taking a break when I answered you so... I came off a little irate. Now I know what most de and rev ups do, I have had both. Its not simple bolt ons and it's probably more like 315 @ the wheels. Just for General knowledge, a stock rev up. Put down around 245hp on this dyno.

wow didn't know that gas mileage with e85 is that bad. Maybe it is because you have an aggressive tune?...Do you think I would be able to get 15 mpg with it. If I ever choose to go e85 in the future.

No hard feelings bro. Good job doing something different and posting up results.

Dang great numbers! Finally someone tried this out, i have this in mind also im fully bolted at the moment: DC headers, 5/16 plenum spacer, injen cai, test pipes, and momentum single exhaust, i did an idler pulley delete and a a/c compressor delete since my condensor went out.. Im going for an agressive E85 tune so hopefully i get similar numbers to yours, i'll also be going to churchs to get tuned.. whats was your baseline numbers?

No base line numbers do to me not having that obd port. He had to load a pre tune manually on the ecu and start from there. it was pig rich before that do to the injector sizing. Just to clarify, here is a mods list for this;
06 revup at 7500rpm
no acc. drives other than the alt. and the power steering.
Idler pulley is gone
alt. and crank pulley are light weight and under driven.
Assco and Tilton twin disk clutch and flywheel, 18 lbs. total
JWT pop charger, hard intake pipe.
rev up lower collector
Motordyne 5/16 spacer
Strup shorty headers (for this tune)
Stillen test pipes and y-pipe
3.5 in exhaust through a Dynamax muffler
As for the fuel system its a return system with gtr injectors, Walbro 255 pump, and Cosworth fuel rails.
