Default Timing chain question

Hey everyone. I’m trying to do my timing chain and when I took the main chain top guide off it made my cams jump. Any way I can get that back into place without pulling the valve covers? Thanks

Correctly? No, because you need ensure your cams lobes are pointing the correct direction.

If you wanna take the short cut, you could just use a breaker bar on both cams at the same time and rotate them to get back to TDC.
