What's all this talk about how good the interior of the r32 is? ok it has nice leather....but the design is that of an economy car. The Z is a purpose built sprots car, much more snug, functional and aesthetically pleasing...to me at least. So what if a r32 uses "better" materials how often do you run your hand across your dash?

You said it, bro...There is nothing like a japanese car when it comes to build quality and reliability. By the way, I owned an 83 VW Scirocco GTI (yeah, the euro model), bought new in 83. That car was the worst pos I ever owned. Well, not really; my 99 Ford SVT Contour was worse, but not by much.

me like R32 .. definitely not as fast as the Z .. I think you'll get better deal with the Z .. used R32 are expensive, most of them I've seen are still around 30K ..

R32= nice car

They're just a little late in the US market don't you think?
On paper, it's an awesome car for a few years ago but nowadays theres better bang for the buck.

They only hold so well for resale because theres not too many running around. Aren't the new R32's already being tested on the Nur. track?

I think the R32's a little over priced as well and I know I'm biased but why get a 4 seat grocery getter when you have the luxury of being able to own a true sports car instead? Just my opinion.

Back on 01 when I got my prelude...I was also considering a Gti. The turbo rush from the then retuned 1.8t(180hp) was nice, but the car was SMALL inside and the nearest dealer was about a 1.5hr drive away.

I posed a poll question on vortex basically asking if you guys as GTI/GOLF owners, would consider buying a new GTI with all it's problems if you lived that far from a dealer...most said they'd buy something else in my situation. Speaks volumes to the quality and owner satisfaction to me. It's kinda odd if you spend any time on the vortex...those guys really have a love/hate thing going with their V-dubs.

That said...I loved the look of the GTI and the R even more so. But nether the GTI i tested or the Prelude I owned holds a candle to my Z.
