Default Newb Question about GPS

Does the Navigational System ever get bad "reception" and not work ? I mean I'm figuring since it's satellite based there has got to be some times where the GPS doesn't respond ... Am I right or am I just talking out of my a$$ ?

GPS is used in aircraft approaches during weather and is unaffected by sky cover. You won't get "bad reception" due to weather. However, a certain number of satellites always need to be providing imput to the nav equipment or else the signal will be unusable.
