new z owner
Newbie here. Just bought an 03 performance z w/ 8700mi. on it. What a great car...although the stereo sucks, but I haven't been paying as much attention to it as i have to the 6-speed.

Wow! That's really good mileage! How much did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking. The stereo does suck and I'm actually probably gonna replace the speakers in the car tonight, . Welcome to the board!

I must admit that you guys are making me paranoid with all of the "issues" I've been hearing about with this model...feathering, new tranny's, window probs....I hope that I didn't just buy a fast p.o.s.

Yeah...most of what people rant about here is fixable. The suspension issue is problematic, however. Seems some folks will not be able to fix the problem with a simple alignment. Rumor has it that the adjustable parameters are less than the needed parameters to permanently fix the problem. However, my '03 has had one alignment (@3K miles) and I'm now just under 10K miles with no problems.
If it does come back, I'll just install the Nismo suspension kit, lower it with some coil overs and be done with it.
