Default Car finally here in one piece.

Drove over the the US border on Thursday and picked up my Z. Thanks to my husbands Diplomat status we just zoomed back in to Canada without having to pay that nasty duty and sales tax etc..

Covered in bugs and road grime from it's 1400 mile journey to me. The car was still looking amazing.

I was a bit disappointed in finding the passenger mirror cracked, the ashtray lid broken and the CD player is not working. I get an error message when I put cd's in.

Since I am still under factory warranty does it cover these broken items?

Other than that, the car handles very nice and I love it. Man, talk about getting respect on the road now.
Last night I was driving with two other Z's on the road. One ahead, one beside and me. The one beside actually let me in the lane!!! Remember I am living in Montreal, Quebec with the biggest road morons, hogs and ignorant drivers I have ever seen.
Getting lots of attention and lots of smiles.
I am happy.

Cheers,

Thumbs up

Welcome, congratulations and thanks for the beautiful photos. New or used? Year and model? Miles?

Never mind I read your past posts. This was an eBay buy. Warranty to fix those items? I doubt it: they're normal “wear and tear.” You could ask the seller for reimbursement of the cost of minor repairs, but he will blame any damage on the shipper. That's one of the pitfalls of buying a car unseen.

Thanks,

The car is a 2003 Touring 29,000 miles.

My Z logo is broken a bit on the back of the car

Wear and tear for a malfunctioning CD player? Man, I hope not.
What exactly does the warrenty cover and does the last owner have to sign this over to us?

The CD player should be taken care of by Nissan. No need to “sign over" a warrantee.
