You were driving, right?

By defination it was your fault.

Part of driving is being able to properly adjust to rode conditions.

Not trying to be "jerky" here but if your going to stay in one piece you have to adjust to road conditions & other cars.
well youre displaying your ignorance. there are some accidents that insurance labels as no at fault bc well, it was just that- an accident. ice is ice, snow is snow. sometimes it doesnt matter how fast youre driving. thats like saying if you walk slow, you wont slip on ice. jsut because youre driving doesnt mean its your fault. if im driving and somebody hits me is that my fault?
also shes only 17 and still learning the ins and outs of driving. when i was 18 i got in almost back to back accidents, the second one totaling my truck. havent had one since *knocks on wood* bc ive learned from them.
